My house is on fire

I don't think your MIL is to blame. I think it was divine intervention (actually going to Catholic Mass) because God knew you wished your husband and your MIL, the miserable sow, dead.

xxx probably burned down your house. And that's scary.

Mel Gibson, who is catholic of course, told your MIL to burn your house down. Did I mention it's because he is catholic?

One of your angry neighbors set your roaming cat on fire and threw it back on your roof.

Beauvoir's head of school set your MIL on fire and told her to pay you a visit.

OP, you sound very judgmental from your post. You don't mention any of the nice things your MIL has done for you over the past years, and you are just focusing (I think rather unhealthily) on this one issue: the fire. Have you even tried to talk to you MIL about this? Did she even know you didn't WANT your house set on fire?

I'm sorry, because I generally find sympathy for DILs, but your post really is so one-sided, I think you need to stop and reflect a little, when all the flames die down.

OP why are you posting this? What's your motivation?

(heh, signed, poster of the "Who is the poster who's always asking why people are posting stuff" thread)

Yes, you should blame your MIL. If she hadn't stacked so many cases of FucoThin in your basement, you would have been able to get to the fire extinguisher in time.

I think it was the Landon lacrosse team who did it.

It is obvious. She posted because she knew that someone would eventually mention Mater Dei and therefore generate publicity for the school.

OMG, I can't believe you would be SO selfish to let your house catch on fire! Don't you know we're in the middle of a drought? What, you think that all the water conservation is supposed to be done by OTHER people, just so long as YOU aren't inconvenienced? Bitch.
Anonymous
Yes, you should, after all you don't know what she does behind your back while you're not there. Even if you pop in and out every once in a while, you can never fully trust everybody. You need to think about your children first. Fire her immediately!

Thanks for the laugh ... I sorely needed one today!
