Ha yeah I doubt all these transphobic teachers would have an issue calling my son by his middle name, which is what he goes by. |
Um, Virginia is not the home of Brown v. Board of Education. |
Good |
Yes they are minors, it's up to the parents, it's not the school's job to determine how to raise the kids |
Thanks rich white ladies!! |
VERY shocking. I am disgusted. |
I hear your sentiment but I'm a rich white lady with a transgender child. I am f'ing sick about this. |
Wow. I didn’t realize that Richmond blocked Arlington from integrating back in 1956. VA conservatives have a long history of being total POSs. |
More specifically, the rich, white ladies who were anti-mask/anti”CRT”. |
Biden admin’s revision to Title IX should overrule this; they just need to get through the thousands of comments left by “parent rights” groups like this. But at that point misnaming and misgendering should constitute a form of harassment covered under Title IX |
This is wonderful news! |
NO IS NOT. IT COST $0 TO RESPECT EVERY STUDENT!!! CANT WAIT FOR THE PROTEST |
Yes It’s adults bullying children The government harassing minorities Those of you celebrating this, we see you, you are the parents outside Central High in Little Rock |
Except that with this policy, trans or non-binary kids who have full parental support are still able to be discriminated against. What about the "parental rights" of these parents? This is nothing more that bigoted and hateful- if it was truly about "parental rights", then the kids with full parental support would have to be called by their chosen name and pronouns by ALL school staff and have full access to school facilities and programs. |
Um, Brown v. Board of Education was a group of five legal appeals that challenged the "separate but equal" basis for racial segregation in public schools in Kansas, Virginia (Dorothy Davis v. County School Board of Prince Edward), Delaware, South Carolina, and the District of Columbia. |
