Both of you need to watch the hearings or at least read about them after the fact because you are both woefully uninformed. To the first PP, wrong. They keep releasing new and more damning information at each hearing. To the second PP, wrong. The hearing has also been about why the security infrastructure failed. Those of you who aren’t watching but are keeping informed, I don’t think OP was necessarily talking about you. You don’t have to watch them live to understand what they’re talking about if you’re reading informed sources after the fact. |

I read about the hearings. My life is falling apart. It isn’t a top priority to watch, and I know it is going to make me very, very angry. I don’t have the mental space for that right now.
|
Im the second pp. Im not sure how watching the hearings will make me better informed than actually talking to CP officer and the other group that runs the security infrastructure. I can guarantee that these organizations will not say more on television than they will say to known/trusted people. |
| How many times are they going to try to make trump look bad despite never being able to actually prove it. 2 impeachments, false rape allegations , this , it's all political. Even if it wasn't they cried wolf too many times for people to believe it. |
You missed the most informative ones. |
| I'm not watching either. He was already acquitted during his impeachment trial last year- this is just nothing more than a desperate second political stunt to try to prevent him from running again. |
Lol. |
“I like my information bunker and I’m not coming out. New facts may not penetrate the bunker. I will not re-examine my beliefs, ever, because I’m not listening to you. Nah nah nah nah.” |
If you're not watching how can you summarize what it is? |
OMG, you need to return to earth and get away from the upside down. |
And it's now 1.5 years later and lots more information has come out. |
He wasn't "acquitted" - can you get basic facts and terminology correct? |
So Trump isn't actually a threat to the United States, democracy, and the rule of law. It's just a political tactic to 'try' to make him 'look' that way. Got it. |
+1 million to this. I feel the same. |
Actually, the impeachment process is the political stunt. Whether someone is impeached and whether they’re removed from office following impeachment is purely political. Trump’s second impeachment took place too soon for there to have been a thorough investigation. A lot of pieces hadn’t come together yet. The committee’s investigation and hearings are fact finding missions. The point is to get to the bottom of who planned the insurrection and why, who was advising them and what advice was given, who funded it, who participated and why did they participate, who enabled the insurrection as it was unfolding and why, who hamstrung efforts to get the Capital under control and how and why they did that, what the larger game plan was if the insurrection had succeeded, who has obstructed the investigation and why, etc. The January 6th investigation that is being pursued by the Justice Department is about criminal culpability. That’s the motivation for Trump to run again. He is somewhat shielded by the powers of the Presidency. Exposure to criminal liability is a big part of why he was so desperate to stay in office in the first place. |
