I'm a person of color and I hate it when people say this, I see it as some holier than thou comment and it insults me. Its impossible not to see color. And if you don't see my color, then you don't understand my differences in upbringing and culture. I would appreciate if you are inclusive of me with my color but please don't overlook my color. Please see my color it is a big part of who I am. |
The HoS is definitely pro-mask, testing, etc. I kind of think it's hilarious that you think the school gives off wealthy, nouveau riche vibes. I don't get that at all. In fact, it is way more economically (and racially) diverse than our old public. |
Very pro-mask and screening, now twice a week. My kid looooooooves it here. Its really not my social crowd but I'm an introvert also. But plenty of really nice kids and parents. (We are in lower elementary. The girls are super sweet and the boys are energetic.) Teachers and admin very responsive! |
I would say mildly pro- masks but getting antsy about them and ready to ditch at the first possible opportunity. No one has an issue with testing |
Who are you to train parents in anything? And why does it fall to the school to do this? Why can’t parents talk about these issues with their own children at home, church or synogogue. Why does it have to be a public or private school issue? Many schools are going to have egg on their faces when this hoopla dies down and there is a strong reaction as we’ve already seen with the Salvation Army. I’m not paying a school for this and certainly not to “train” me in this Marxism and I’m not donating my dollars to it either. Scratch St Pat’s off the list. |
Troll! |
| Its a funny farm. St. Patrick’s is more of a country club than a school. We left. It’s not about education it’s about the kids always happy. It’s a summer camp for rich kids and the DEI lol. |
It is a country club heavy school and lots of republicans and even very public Trumpsters. The administration and teachers lean more progressive and are trying to improve the school. Definitely not coming from the parent community. |
lol. This city only cares about is “soft skills” like never listening and just ramming your opinion down others’ throats, calling them names, and walking off in a huff. |
Teaching your kids not to see color is a huge mistake. You should take 5 minutes to read this article. https://dfwchild.com/why-we-should-teach-kids-to-see-color/ |

^^ I'm the PP and I'm saying this as a privileged white person, not a person of color.
|
Of course you are; you are a Karen who thrives on things like this. Please don't tell me what is a mistake when it comes to raising my kids. You have no idea who I am or what my background is. For the record, when I say that I am teaching my kids to be colorblind - of course we all "see" color, like I "see" that you are wearing a blue shirt or I can "see" that you are tall. But those traits have nothing more to do with who you are as a person, and the kind of person that you are and whether or not I want to be friends with you, than does the color of your skin. I'm sorry that you still judge, stereotype and categorize people on outward appearances such as this. Perhaps one day you will evolve. |
The fact that you are teaching your children colorblindness makes you a racist. Perhaps one day YOU will evolve. |
Oh, please explain that one to us. This I can't wait to hear. |
