Attracted to daughter's friend's dad

Then COVID-19 came and of course everyone was at home for 1.5 years. Anyway, this fall school started and I noticed his daughter wasn't at the school anymore (well, my daughter noticed she wasn't in the same class). Fast forward to this past week and I'm dropping my daughter off for track camp and he's one of the lead coaches! I see his daughter there and our kids start talking. Then we spoke for a few minutes and I felt like I was around an old college crush or something. Now that he's my daughter's coach he's even hotter! I can't stop thinking about him. I know that's bad. Very bad. But, why is he hotter now just because I found out he coaches? I seriously have not stopped thinking about him since yesterday. Help.

Are you hotter than his wife?

Hmmm....have any of them taken him for a few laps?

You’re a real downer.

What’s with the criticism? If OP was a man attracted to a mom, everyone would say that’s normal and that all men fantasize about other women.

The moms on my son’s soccer team were all over my husband when he was Coach. It was like a fan club. I never saw the other kids’ dads. The moms were at every Lea rice and every game singing my handsome hubby’s praises.

There was a dad at our preschool like this. He was mostly a SAHD who did a lot of running and cycling and would occasionally work at a running store, but the moms in their class (across the hall from my DD’s classroom) were always asking him about his races. Fan club is right. Plus he’s British and has the accent.

My husband is highly successful, but made time to take off work early twice a week to coach my son’s teams. Ironically, he never played soccer and I was a D1 college soccer player

Exactly! I have never heard 2nd grade or even elementary track. BS alert.

I coach elementary school track, including second graders.

I actually thought for a second it might be me but some aspects don't line up.

And? People have crushes. Hardly a unique thing, OP, or even worthy of a post. Just don't embarrass yourself.
