LOL, you’ll never see the cries for capitulation come so fast if some old Dems think they’ll have to miss a doctor’s appointment!

So you'd be ok being uninsured and your kids being uninsured? Having a medical emergency while uninsured could be financially catastrophic. I doubt the question was about missing an appointment.

This story about an air traffic controller who might have to pay hefty bills for his prematurely born child because of the shutdown is troubling

Hmm I would have thought the shutdown would be the perfect time to have a child. Unlimited leave and for many - it’s going to be paid!

Wow, this is what abstinence-only education looks like, huh? Do you think people called the stork on December 22 for overnight delivery?

Anyway, if you'd read, you'd see that the subject of the article is out of pocket for all hospital expenses for his newborn until pay is restored. That's tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. It doesn't say whether he's working unpaid but I assume he is, as he's an air traffic controller. So no leave, no pay, and no insurance coverage right now. Sounds rosy.

Well you probably didn’t vote for him anyway, am I right?

People think the TSA calling sick en masse is bad, just wait until all those Federal Law Enforcement start doing the same. A friend of mine works for the BOP and the stories I'm hearing from him indicate that the agency is pretty much at the tipping point right now. I'm sure all those dangerous prisoners inside those Fed prisons will agree to guard themselves right?

Aha! You must be part of Trump's rapidly shrinking base.

As long as we get the job done in 2020, that’s all that matters!!!

Disgusting. NICU costs are no joke. My baby was in the NICU for 4 weeks and there was a insurance screwup. I got a bill for $400,000 (not a typo) before I could fix the error.

And this is an Air Traffic Controller, so no leave allowed.

You won't. Enjoy your 2 years to screw up the country, because we are going to make you pay for it when we kick Trump out. He barely squeaked by in 2016. That won't happen again because no Democrat will have Clinton's vulnerabilities.

Your boy Donnie can't even do the job you elected him to do. What 2020 are you dreaming about?

Offer 50 billion for a israeli style southern border for israeli style national health care system.

If Jared really cares about the US as much as he does about israel, he should be highly supportive of this.

Understand why the White House is not acting in good faith, or any faith in terms of an actual negotiation

Too bad the "we" is about 37% of the country and rapidly shrinking.

We'll see how much you're with him in a few months when federal workers have received their backpay and you've lost your job because GDP growth has already shrunk by half a percent and counting. But have no fear, I hear they'll be hiring hound dogs at the border, if you run fast.
