To people frustrated with Biden who say they won’t vote in 2024

Inflammatory and incorrect.

I think there is no difference at all between Biden’s foreign policy and neocon foreign policy. If anything, Trump seems to have more restraint with foreign wars

???

He wants to let the authoritarians rule their domains. At the expense of the freedom and will of the people being subjugated. The US has, for the past 80 years, been the world's policeman. The benefit of that is that US based companies were able to expand significantly into other markets and the economic ties between countries has generally kept the peace. that peace "dividend" has raised the standard of living significantly in the US and worldwide.

So when you say there is no difference and by inference, no impact, in such a change from the status quo, you really undersell how remarkable the post WW1 and moresoe the post WW2 era has been.

NP. Your understanding of history is pathetic. The US has lost virtually every war it has undertaken since World War Two. It has backed dictators all over the world. The US has killed more foreign peoples than any other country since the end of WWII. To most of the world, the US symbolizes oppression.

Every so often there’s a reply that is so divorced from the point that the pp to whom they’re replying that it’s like they responded to the wrong post by mistake. Yours is that post.

NP. That post was divorced from the DCUM hive mind and that’s a very good thing!

He brought up golden showers again.

The only thing of value Trump brings to the table is the audacity to make some very difficult issues his talking points and priorities. Immigration, trade policy, and addressing the imbalance with the United States's funding of world peacekeeping and humanitarian aid relative to the other economic powers of the world are such issues. Career politicians prefer to steer clear of these issues because there are no easy and quick fixes to such problems. The problem is, Trump's New York businessman approach to addressing these issues doesn't work in politics and government. He simply doesn't belong in government or and public service role. He will be a very easy to beat candidate in 2024 by many potential opponents but unfortunately Biden isn't one of those candidates. His odds of beating Trump are only 50/50 and that's the point of this thread.

Except he wasted over $6B on a wall that is already falling apart and was subverted by a $20 ladder.

His trade policy, partiuclarly the tarrifs have been really bad for all involved.

Obama had already addressed the "imbalance" in funding NATO you identified. Countries were already bound by agreement to pony up. Trump did nothing to accelerate it.

Other than that, your post is spot on.

Do you have some sort of secret intel as to a SCOTUS opening? Why do you keep posting this?
Anonymous
Also isn’t the oldest SCOTUS Justice younger than Biden? Why is it that the death and subsequent opening during his term is a certainty but someone at 81 it is implausible that Biden doesn’t live through another term?

This is serious and if you're gonna pull a "but her emails" stunt again, you are $%$Q$ crazy. Trump is some fascist just waiting to demolish our democracy. And I'm no conspiracy theorist.

I feel like I'm watching some dystopian movie in slo mo. And it's un-effing-believable.

This crowd might miss this point, but gentle reminder that dystopian movie is already decades old for many in this society. Listen to those people, not just the powerful or the ‘experts’ and you can change a lot. If you don’t listen to them…

This is where the GOP is headed, yes. I know it comforts Republican voters to pretend that this is inflammatory, but it’s not. They’ve shown they don’t support democracy.

In fairness, it doesn’t seem like the butteremails is going to work again. It’s just not gaining traction like the GOP wants it to; too many people have seen the media’s preferential treatment of Trump. They might not want to think deeply to remember the Trump years, but once he’s platformed again and given a free microphone, everyone is going to remember the morning’s tweets of bile and the sinking sensation of Trump selling our country out. A few young women who go to school in forced birther states will get pregnant and their friends will see the turmoil. Women will die.

The GOP is going to keep throwing shills at the internet, both paid and free labor ones, but people aren’t biting.

The Bidens arrived on Nantucket Tuesday night, taking up residence at the home of billionaire David Rubenstein. Secret Service prepared the island five days ahead of Air Force One touching down, including a surge of Massachusetts State Police Troopers to boost security.

Not good optics but Biden has is already embraced the genocide in Gaza. So why not enjoy the perks while laughing and making jokes about dead Palestinians babies?
Anonymous
Why are those optics different than trump playing golf at one or another of his properties all over the country?

I’m one of those unlikely to vote if the choice is between Trump and Biden. We need another moderate choice.

No kidding. Trump went to one of his properties and played golf almost every single weekend of his presidency. And forced the US taxpayer to pay jacked up rates to him for providing accommodations to the Secret Service.

The list of insanities are endless.
From the constant stream of social media insults that read like they were written to by a spoiled middle schooler to the fact that The lunatic (post-presidency) sat with guests at Mar-a-Lago and spilled state secrets. And all the crazy in-between. Not least of which is that he tried to overthrow a democratic election and used his lies to goad a mob into attacking the United States Capitol, while he sat on his behind and gleefully watched it on TV.

OMG. There is no equivalency or what-aboutism between Trump and Biden. Even if you don't agree with Biden's policies, he has brought dignity and presidential behavior and decency back to the White House. Trump was a flaming dumpster fire of bile.

It was not falling apart. You ideological morons were cutting holes in the wall and welding doors open to let antelopes as "endangered species" through. More than that, Biden does not enforce laws on the books concerning immigration.

Stop lying.
