He wants to let the authoritarians rule their domains. At the expense of the freedom and will of the people being subjugated. The US has, for the past 80 years, been the world's policeman. The benefit of that is that US based companies were able to expand significantly into other markets and the economic ties between countries has generally kept the peace. that peace "dividend" has raised the standard of living significantly in the US and worldwide.

So when you say there is no difference and by inference, no impact, in such a change from the status quo, you really undersell how remarkable the post WW1 and moresoe the post WW2 era has been.[/quote]
NP.  Your understanding of history is pathetic.  The US has lost virtually every war it has undertaken since World War Two.  It has backed dictators all over the world.  The US has killed more foreign peoples than any other country since the end of WWII.  To most of the world, the US symbolizes oppression.[/quote]
