This is all about the African-American elites of DC putting their foot down on the necks of poorer African-Americans who are in DC Public/Charter Schools. That's the subtext of the entire fight but no one is willing to discuss. This has been a recurring battle in DC for generations.

Agreed. Old Hardy / LAB School is another case of this. Whether anything more comes of this will, I guess, depend on a critical mass of the DC Council. Elissa has made it her issue and Mary Cheh and Robert White don't like it either. Trayon seems very much on the fence, though, and I doubt three is enough.

+1. For practices (not games), Hardy and other schools have multiple teams practice in portions of a field at the time (apparently not what Maret varsity sports do). For BCG to have *some* time (eg 30 minutes a day, or an hour on 1/2 the field) several days a week, that might not be as much as merited, but it would be a huge improvement.

Maret seems to be having a hard time understanding that their is broad dissatisfaction with this set-up. They have convinced themselves that this thread is the work of a handful of people led by “Kishan and Elizabeth.”

I think they would be surprised to find that, while surely some people post here a lot, there are actually a lot of people participating.

Meanwhile, multiples more people care who never show up here.

This is generally not a particularly hard thing to try and assess, and I"m sure someone at Maret has access to people/firms that can do this, but whether it will be successful will depend in part on how Jeff has the site configured.

I never said that, and I don't believe that. What I did say is that *Hardy* parents having fits over the Jellef deal want access for Hardy, and then claiming that they are only thinking about the BGCGW kids is complete horse crap.
