We stayed and aren't as lucky. Packed classes.

Which school?

Crickets.

PP probably doesn’t even have kids in APS.

Why is it hard for you to believe? Taylor.

Because it's not likely that you even know how many kids in your kids' classes.

?!? I went to the open house and counted every single desk with a name on it in every single 1st grade classroom, but please tell me again how you know so much more than I do. Just wait for the Sept enrollment numbers. I know exactly how many kids there are in my kid's class and the grade as a whole, as of last Thursday at least (there are probably more now due to inevitable late enrollments).

For real?

So first you falsely accuse me of lying and not having kids in APS, and now you feign shock that I would collect such a basic piece of information at an open house as to how many kids there are in my kid's class. What next?

Not just your kid’s class - you went to the other classrooms too?

For real?

They're all in the same place. Literally. You obviously aren't familiar with the pod system at this school. And it's...counting. Took all of 10 seconds.

You still had to walk around to all of the desks…

Creepy.

You're still trying to deflect your false accusations by criticizing walking around classrooms at an OPEN HOUSE. We saw where other friends would be who weren't in our class but were friends from K. We walked around the whole school except the upper grades.I mean we even checked out the gym, the library and the nearest bathrooms!

Do you even have kids in school? Are you familiar with the concept of an open house?

I’ve been to countless APS open houses. We go to the classroom, maybe the cafeteria/gym if new to the school, maybe say hi to old teachers.

We don’t go to all other classrooms and count up the number of kids.

So how many kids were in all of those classes? Average last year was ~19 for first grade.

Like I said all the 1st grade classes (can't call them rooms because they don't have 4 walls) empty into the same space, and you obviously aren't familiar with the pod system or this school.

Average is 25. I'm well aware of last year's average, which is why when I looked around in surprise at how crowded it was and took a quick count of desks, I wanted to know if all the classes were that full. They have many more 1st graders this year and one fewer teacher!

Yeah. I’ve heard the Taylor classroom setup is fcked up.

So you net gained 5 kids? Or dropped 20? 95 in K last year.

Taylor's enrollment was reduced due to boundary changes so probably dropped.

Boundaries shrunk and yet more kids in 1st than last year.

So it’s 100 kids / 4 classes?

Kids moving back from private K?

If I realized my kid is in a class with 30 kids, I sure as heck want to make sure that all the other classes are equally packed and its not some bad luck of the draw.
