Yes. That's exactly what I and others are saying. It's really so simple. No criticism of Muslim or black folks would be tolerated here, and yet out-and-out venomous anti-white remarks are chalked up to be "satire." Sorry, but someone does not play the satire game for years, and with such hateful language, just to be funny. |
You picked the rice comment, since she was running out of more venomous tweets to spew. But there were horrible comments about Fing white people, and about their going extinct, and comparing their postings to dog shit, and how one of her regrets in life is that she'd never be able to kill a white man, and on and on. If anyone were to post those same things about blacks, you'd ban them. |

Sorry, but someone does not play the satire game for years, and with such hateful language, just to be funny. Again, there is all kinds of criticism of Muslims and black people here. It just doesn't register with you because you accept it as truth. Jeong just imitates the same things that are said about minorities all the time. That is new to you and you are outraged. |

You are misstating most of what you claim she said and you are taking it all out of context. You are probably not even well enough informed to understand the context. When she tweets about white people going extinct, she is referencing right-wing claims that minorities are taking over. just yesterday, for instance, Laura Ingraham said: "The America we know and love doesn't exist anymore. Massive demographic changes have been foisted on the American people, and they are changes that none of us ever voted for, and most of us don't like ... this is related to both illegal and legal immigration". The alt-right constantly references white genocide which they claim will be caused by mixing between races. Jeong is mocking the entire notion that whites are endangered. |
Laura Ingraham.....bleech. I still say someone doesn't spew venom for two years (at least) simply to make a mockery. The things that Jeong came up with reveal the level of her hostility. That's my opinion. But let's say this: There are two ways to interpret her 2-year anti-white tweet storm, and one way is your way and one way is mine. |
|
Last time I checked Laura Ingraham had not been offered a post onthe NYT editorial board. That is the point that you seem to be missing. Jeong is free to tweet all she likes about white people, but no white person could utter even one of her tweets and expect such a job offer from one of the most prestigious papers in the country.
And I’m sure the people who are enjoying her posts most of all are the Republican speech writers who can take the rest of the summer off as their speeches before the midterms write themselves verbatim from the new face of the NY Times. |
Similarly, Jeong wasn't offered her own television show on Fox such as Ingraham has. Interesting that you expect Republicans to run against the New York Times, which I am pretty sure is not running for anything. Republicans are going to look pretty silly standing before crowds denouncing political correctness, praising liberal tears, and cheering on Trump, and then whining about being mocked by a NYT editorial board member. But hypocrisy comes naturally to you all. |
Yes, exactly. Jeff threw me off-course with his unequal comparisons and distractions (which is what people do when they're on the wrong side of an argument.) This is not just about ONE person, and whether her extensive anti-white tweets are just a two-year-long attempt at satire, or whether she truly does subscribe to some of what she wrote. (She DID come up with some pretty horrendous stuff.) The point is that the NYT would - and did, in fact - fire a white staffer for anti-black tweets. The extra irony in all this is that just a few days after the NYT excused Jeong for her anti-white tweets, it did an "expose" on a white baseball player who had some anti-black tweets back when he was a high school kid in an attempt to humiliate him and besmirch his reputation, |

? ?
Trump runs each and every day against the “main stream media,” which has always been and continues to be a counterbalance to those in power. The NY Times just made that a whole lot easier for him to do. I have made my arguments dispasdionately and been insulted by you each and every time so I’ll let you go back to your own vitriol. |

So what we have established is that writing about black people having lower IQs due to genetics is fine. Mocking people with such a belief is bad. Writing about minorities destroying the white race is fine. Mocking people with such a belief is bad. Being a racist on Fox News is fine. Having someone that mocks racists on the New York Times editorial board is bad.
Complicated rules if you ask me. |
| Guess what I just learned? Laura Ingraham, the Republican news anchor, Jeff just held up as a bigot, adopted a child from Guatemala! She welcomed a brown child into her own family. Isn't that wonderful? |
Wow, according to her own words, she is complicit in destroying America. I guess that shows how much of her spiel is simply an act to fool the rubes. |
Me too, and I've pointed that out. Virtually every response of Jeff's to a person with whom he disagrees includes a personal insult. |
Or you're misinterpreting what she means. (But I notice you couldn't make a positive comment about her adopting a brown child.) And another insult - this time about rubes. The disdain that so many liberals feel for Americans who don't bow down at the altar of liberalism is unreal. |
