Yes, exactly. Jeff threw me off-course with his unequal comparisons and distractions (which is what people do when they're on the wrong side of an argument.)

This is not just about ONE person, and whether her extensive anti-white tweets are just a two-year-long attempt at satire, or whether she truly does subscribe to some of what she wrote. (She DID come up with some pretty horrendous stuff.) The point is that the NYT would - and did, in fact - fire a white staffer for anti-black tweets.

The extra irony in all this is that just a few days after the NYT excused Jeong for her anti-white tweets, it did an "expose" on a white baseball player who had some anti-black tweets back when he was a high school kid in an attempt to humiliate him and besmirch his reputation,
