I don't think there is a rift between Kevin and his mom. There used to be a rift between Kevin and Randall. It's no wonder Randall is Rebecca's favorite, he cares about her feelings.
I don't really buy the fostering an older boy story line, it's just not believable that they would be ok with it that quickly with two daughters. It's like we're running out of problems for Randall and Beth! Here's one! |
Did anyone notice that Beth's hair was like Prince's purple rain hair in the fake smoking scene?
I liked her hair in long braids the best, very pretty. |
And at some point, Miguel will have to divorce his wife. I think it would be easier for the kids (Kevin) to accept if they did marry after reconnecting at Randall and Beth's wedding. They would have more trouble with it if they married very soon after Jack's death. Ooh...here's a plot twist NO ONE will see coming! What if...Miguel is the one to set the house on fire and kill Jack so he can make the moves on Rebecca? Bam! No wonder Kevin hates him and Kate does not like her mom! He and his wife divorced a while back/when Jack was still alive. There was an episode where the 4 of them are out to dinner and they tell jack and Rebecca they are getting divorced. |
NP here.
I think Jack commits suicide. I hope I'm wrong but here are the clues: 1. Remember the random scene at Randall's holiday party where he talks the guy off the ledge. Randall told him that his kids will always forgive him as long as he's around to be forgiven. 2. Kate was really bothered by Toby's suicide attempts and it's one of the first questions she asks him when they start getting to know each other better. 3. Kevin said he threw away all the model airplanes he and Jack made because he was so angry after his dad's death. I've been sitting on this idea for awhile. I really hope I'm wrong but all foreshadowing seems to point to it. |
Another NP here. I kind of like this idea, for a tv show. For some reason I thought that Jack died in a car accident. Then I thought the he died in the fire rescuing Kate's dog or something and actually his death ended up having nothing to do with his alcoholism. I think it would be super sad if he was actually on a good road to recovery and died in a freak accident and there is all this guilt they may all have because maybe they resented his drinking and weren't supporting his recovery, or something and regret they didn't trust him more. I don't know, but I do remain interested in Jack's death and still pretty much like the show. Except Rebecca's old lady wig. I don't like that thing. |
wow. Love this theory. I'm going to be looking for clues now. |
^^ I was thinking something similar. When his boss calls, Jack says something about the house permits. Maybe that house wasn't up to code and hence went on fire, killing the residents (no one we've seen on the show). Jack gets intense guilt over it and goes on a bender and kills himself. He didn't file the permit because he was rushing to be with needy Kate.
The show throws too many flashbacks in that's it's getting to be all over the place. |
That plot is very Lifetime movie!!! I am waiting for Miguel and Shelley's children to be on the show. Thus far, post-Jack, Miguel is depicted as Rebecca's plus one, which is understandable, but technically the Pearsons have step-siblings. |
Yep, I'm falling out of love with it too. Last night's episode was pretty bad. The show needs an episode that isn't about Jack's death, and an episode with a little bit of comedy. They have a lot of material to work with. |
+1 so bored with this show; I kept trying to fast forward last night but forgot I wasn't watching it on DVR. I am over all of the how jack died teasers and "clues." Thought it was going to be a drama not a mystery. |
I didnt think it was the best episode but I liked it. Im interested in Beth and Randalls adopted daughter storyline |
Sophomore slump.
Kevin's ex can go. Didn't like the actress on the Walking Dead and I don't like her here. Not loving the adopted daughter story either. They killed off William prematurely. He has popped in a couple times, but a few seconds of William can't save the show. Over Kate and Toby as well. What does she do now? She was her brother's assistant. She worked for Jamie Gertz for 1 episode. Is she back working for Kevin? They shouldn't drag how Jack dies out like how I met your mother. After too long no one will care. |
Hate the foster child story line.
Hate that they keep having siblings say they're not yet ready to talk about dad. He died TWENTY years ago. Hate that they're setting up Kevin to have a drug problem (and addict...just like dad!) |
Oh, but those few seconds of William - and Annie - were REALLY good. |
Oh good God, some of you just need to stop watching the show if you're going to analyze and nitpick every. single. thing. |
