I can't be friends with Trump supporters. My father did not fight against the fascists in Europe in WWII to see them gain political office in the United States. Trump does not understand democracy. He does not believe in democracy. You've seen the TV show.
As an economist, I am afraid of what his misguided thoughts (there is no 'policy") would do to our economy. You think we have a slow economy now: wait until he strangles it. |

With Trump the outrageous has become normal. So if he became President and did something outrageous like order federal Marshals to arrest Judge Curiel, or shut down a critical news outlet, it will seem like more of the same.
"His primary rules [a]re: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it." That's from an OSS profile of Hitler by the way. Whatever you think of Hilary, there will be a United States after four or eight years of her as President. With Trump that's not so certain. |
America was indeed never great . Unless you were a Caucasian male. Truth hurt doesn't it? |
