I know so true..Well I gave up my race (AA) earlier on when I said we were rejected (waitlisted) from Beauvoir. Still waiting on a few others. I wanted people to know that our black children get rejected at the same percentage rate as other children. There may be less applying then some other race's but we ALL don't get accepted. I knew going in that it would be hard for all our children. I pray we get in somewhere decent. We live in a terrible neighborhood for public.

Why did you just announce your salary? No one cares about that.

And you're applying for FA?

Why? Letters are due 3/13.

PP, good luck on getting in "somewhere decent." I appreciate you sharing your bad news. And your point is well taken - that simply because you are AA does not mean you will get into a Big Three. That said, your statement that "our black children get rejected at the same percentage rate as other children" is simply not a logical extension of your experience/argument.

Hi everybody, I wanted to wish everybody good luck, I will be in your boat in a few years, but as I was looking through all these post I couldnt help but think to myself wouldnt it be nice if all this information was tracked somewhere in a spreadsheet and then we could look at the data as a whole and try to make some judgements. (I know its geeky, but I am geeky).

So I have created the outline of a spreadsheet in google docs. Its open access to everyone, so you can input whatever you want. I have no control.

I realize that by leaving it completely open that there is the potential for abuse by people with an ax to grind, but hopefully if everyone is just truthfull, maybe we can "pierce the veil" behind the admissions process of the schools and see if there were any trends at play. i leave that to you really smart statsticians out there. Also, if you feel there are more columns of info that are needed for analysis, please add.

Fingers crossed.
