Need an African American to Explain this Behavior

I don't think this story even happened. I think this is made up and meant to get folks upset on this board. I'm a white female and I have worked in parts of Washington DC where there are few whites and I've never had this issue. There are punks everywhere, but somehow this story does not ring true to me, especially the way the subject was worded.

I hate this argument, not bc I ignore history and the fact that there are racial issues, but bc YOU PERSONALLY have not experienced racism for hundreds of fucking years. Sorry, I got cut off. Poor inner-city AA kids, especially, might blame more recently arrived immigrants. Poor powerless people often act and think irrationally. We need to figure out how to give hope to economically-deprived kids. Now whether that particular incident is a result of some underlying tension or just an example of boorish teenage behavior, we'll never know.

I have seen it when I was in Israel and in Jordan. The middle easterners are big fans of spitting! I witnessed it no less than 3 times while there and race had nothing to do with it. Jew to Jew. I've been slammed one too many times for being honest about posters' Pollyanna attitude. Love and dedication will not save our children. Money used well will. But until we flip our priorities by placing education at the top, we'll never have enough money to provide resources to schools and communities in order to fight ignorance.

Read these threads. teacher bashing all over the place - And in MOST cases, when families are dysfunctional and can provide no support, teachers and administrators become substitute families. But with little pay and too much responsibility and time that cuts into one's personal life, burnout is high.
