I've been slammed one too many times for being honest about posters' Pollyanna attitude. Love and dedication will not save our children. Money used well will. But until we flip our priorities by placing education at the top, we'll never have enough money to provide resources to schools and communities in order to fight ignorance. It will NEVER happen. Read these threads. teacher bashing all over the place - And in MOST cases, when families are dysfunctional and can provide no support, teachers and administrators become substitute families. But with little pay and too much responsibility and time that cuts into one's personal life, burnout is high.[/quote]
