I agree. But when the politics result in policies that threaten the safety and welfare of a family member (e.g., LGBTQ or immigrant), I could see not wanting to subject them to that. |

I feel that way (and so do many others) about liberal attys, judges, and policies that allow criminals to be arrested and released numerous times until they assault, rape, and/or murder an innocent victim. |

Why do you lump all Trump voters in with MAGA? Some people just stupidly voted for Trump and have regrets. But MAGA is a cult. And yes, they have major personality disorders. Being MAGA is a giant red flag for narcissism, domestic violence, and pedophilia. |

I voted for Trump because he was a better option than Harris. I’m not a MAGA. I just (correctly, I might add) understood that he would be a better president, mostly owing to my being an actual, functioning adult during his first term, and being for the most part pleased with his performance. Harris seemed like she would just be a continuation of whoever was making the decisions for Biden, and I think we can all agree it was less than stellar, especially in light of the entire country being lied to about the severity of his decline. I voted for Trump because it was the correct choice, of the choices available to me. |

DP. But it is not a legitimate point. It's more MAGA lies. None of us are obligated to try to reason with MAGA when they post this sh*t. They are allergic to reason and critical thinking. At this point, we just shake our heads and say "idiot". There is no point in doing otherwise. If someone is toxic, the advice is always to get them out of your life. Life is too short. That is what you do if you want a healthy life and have healthy boundaries. In this case, we have a set of MAGA jerks whose political beliefs ARE the center of their lives. They are a cult. They are toxic. If they can't keep that toxic sh*t to themselves, no one should *have* to put up with their abuse or toxicity just because they are family. Do you recommend battered wives stay with their husbands, too? FFS. |
