As a straight woman, I was always appalled--despite being totally accepting of my gay co-workers--at how little consideration they gave to the unsuspecting wives of the married men they slept with. It's bad enough to be betrayed by being cheated on--and with someone of the same sex as your partner--but it's even worse when there's a chance your partner is at risk for an STD or HIV from these DL encounters. It was highly risky and reckless for these men to have unprotected sex (which they admitted to) with men they knew to be married.
