- “There are no unborn babies.” Can you explain what you mean by this statement? -“Republicans want unborn babies dead, but there are no unborn babies.” Can you explain this statement? “Anyone bringing a child into the US is insane and horrible.” So you think people who have kids not only are crazy, but bad people? |
I believe we’ll see the people and pets we want to see in the afterlife. I don’t believe death is the end. I’d have ended this shit show twenty years ago if I didn’t have hope for something better. I also hope that we won’t have to see the people we don’t want to see as well. I am not sure if heaven/hell is a place or just a state of mind. We can be at home with people we love and feel like heaven and we can be at home with people we hate and feel like we’re in hell. |
DP, but on the last point, yes. It is incredibly reckless and selfish to bring kids into this world- particularly into the US. There's no reason to believe things will get better. In particular, just think what could happen if you had a girl. Horrifying. |
So pets have souls now too? Which ones? Just cats and dogs, or do the birds, lizards, fish, pigs, horses, snakes, and all other variety of animals that people now claim as pets also qualify? And if birds and pigs count, does that mean we have to stop eating turkey for Thanksgiving or no more bacon on my hamburgers? |
There's no rule against eating souls, is there? |
I'm Catholic and am fully expecting that if I go to Heaven (trying my best), I will be united with my miscarried child as well as my parents and my siblings who have already passed and eventually my spouse and live children. I don't have a clear vision of what that will be like though I believe there will be recognition, joy, and love. |
I don’t think you can eat souls unless you are a Death Eater. As a universalist, I believe that someone who got devoured by a tiger would go to Heaven. An Evangelical Christian would almost certainly believe a missionary who got eaten by cannibals would go to Heaven. |
