I believe we’ll see the people and pets we want to see in the afterlife. I don’t believe death is the end. I’d have ended this shit show twenty years ago if I didn’t have hope for something better. I also hope that we won’t have to see the people we don’t want to see as well. I am not sure if heaven/hell is a place or just a state of mind. We can be at home with people we love and feel like heaven and we can be at home with people we hate and feel like we’re in hell.
So pets have souls now too? Which ones? Just cats and dogs, or do the birds, lizards, fish, pigs, horses, snakes, and all other variety of animals that people now claim as pets also qualify? And if birds and pigs count, does that mean we have to stop eating turkey for Thanksgiving or no more bacon on my hamburgers?
There's no rule against eating souls, is there?
I don’t think you can eat souls unless you are a Death Eater. As a universalist, I believe that someone who got devoured by a tiger would go to Heaven. An Evangelical Christian would almost certainly believe a missionary who got eaten by cannibals would go to Heaven.
