They won't be able to win back the flyover state folks and independents and soccer moms if they reject the message those voters just sent--that they want populist Republicanism right now, not establishment Democratic obstructionism.

Republicans for years having voted No on almost everything. Congress has the lowest approval rating and each year it continues to be lower. So Democrats should just vote No or be absent.

Stop with the propaganda that all these folk want populist Republicanism. It’s a lie. What most people want and desire is an ALTERNATIVE. Quite frankly I expect more people to become Independents.

We're hoping that an economic downturn will make people wish they had voted for Kamala Harris. I would argue that's an unlikely outcome. That's not really how human psychology works. And hope is not a strategy. What are we going to DO, other than loudly wish for the American people to suffer a recession? The bolded portion is the problem. No one who voted for Trump "voted for" losing their job; losing their VA benefits; losing their healthcare; etc. You can argue that they "should have" known that a vote for Trump meant those things, but I think that's a stretch. People vote for a variety of reasons, and it's impossible to know how their candidate will affect them in all aspects of life. It's the same as saying, in the case of an illegal alien killing your daughter, that you "voted for" that outcome if you voted for Biden in 2020.
