My 22 year old ivy league grad who has been involved with someone for nearly 3 years does not shave her legs. She wears jewelry and makeup and dresses like many her age. Has lots of friendsand is employed. |
So "mainstream" = "popular" with pick of boyfriends? I don't see how it matters to my question, but she has plenty of friends and a boyfriend (of mutual choosing). |
I really don't think people have pictures of her hairy pits. She always wears sleeves. She is a modest dresser, always has been. She doesn't like bare midriffs; she doesn't like low-cut necklines; she doesn't like strapless or spaghetti straps or even tank style tops. She prefers her short to cover her butt. She just doesn't want and doesn't think she should have to shave because she's a female. |
Must be a classist thing. Got money to burn, baby. |
Adding: she also couldn't care less about snap chat. Her friends are not using snap chat and she doesn't care what others think. She obviously is not being humiliated all over school via snap chat. She would be aware of people laughing at her as she walks by, or snickering, or whatever. |
Honestly, if my teen girl were bothering with all this - especially in the pubic area - I'd be concerned there are bigger issues of behavior I need to be worried about. |
I hate all men going shirtless. It's stupid. The vast majority are either too hairy, hairless, scrawny, or unhealthy fat. And they all think they're entitled to super model dates and girlfriends. Real men don't need to go shirtless. |
Not hairy, but not completely hairless either like a five year old in the pubic area. If your teen is getting 100% hair removal in the “bikini area” , especially a Brazilian was, she’s having sex. |
