Too many people refuse to live in the real world and throw temper tantrums because they didn't get sunshine and rainbows. |
I agree. We need to focus on finding one candidate to rally around that will guarantee us a victory over Trump. The sad thing is, as beatable as Trump is, there isn't a single candidate that has announced a 2024 presidential run that is currently favored to beat Trump in a head to head match-up. If America can't find a candidate to beat Trump in 2024, what exactly is our future? |
Biden. Look into those polls; they’re making some pretty big stretches as to who they project will vote for Trump. |
omg, yes. I am so tired of the electoral temper tantrums! Stop being bipolar, America - this is what gets us into these messes! |
I agree for the most part but this could quickly change for the better with just a few changes of people in leadership roles within the two parties. We aren't as far off from returning to a functional government as it seems. |
I mean, I like your optimism, I guess? Care to name names? |
This problem is most pronounced in people who can only consider the well-worn Democratic Party standards as ok. These people will have a meltdown (if they aren’t fully institutionalized first, they’re mostly boomers) when our politics finally admits recent history has been a disaster and that society disposes of a lot of what they find familiar. |
I'm no boomer, and I am so damn tired of the "why isn't it perfect?" crowd
For 30 years now, we have been watching the Rs devolve. It is absolutely appalling. The Rs heroes would hate what they have become. Look, I am good with having a discussion about how to make the Ds "better" or whatever you want. But politics at this point is all about game theory - you have to think through the consequences of your decisions. And sadly, this "I'm gonna vote third party" sentiment is going to take us straight into fascism I don't know how much more loud and clear I need to be. This is a battle - please get into it. |
Agreed. Voting third party in order to stick it to "The Man" or whatever is infantile and reckless at this time in our history. |
What a novel concept. Finding common ground with people who think differently than you? We no longer have statesmen on either side of the aisle. Everyone is into dehumanizing the other political party. |
+1000 And our current political leaders make it seem as though the American people are as divided as the far right and far left members of congress. Well, we aren't. They suck. |
guess which party does actually attempt to compromise? |
No one supports Nazis and genocide but yes, we do need to either demand better from our awful parties or support the split of one or both parties into new parties with new leadership. |
There are only two candidates who can realistically win. One candidate is sane, moderate and competent, the other is a criminal who offers chaos and instability.
Vote Biden. |
Brought to you buy the Biden 2024 campaign... I agree 100% with the anti-Trump rhetoric but let's be real, no rational person with an IQ over 80 seriously thinks Trump or Biden is the best we have to offer to lead the free world. C'mon man! |
