Hopefully it just clipped him. But honestly even if his physical injuries aren’t “that bad”, can you even imagine what this poor young man went through? I’d be scarred for life. I hope he can get all the mental health counseling he needs, I don’t think I could ever recover from seeing just how despicable humans can be.

Yes, the media noted he was initially in critical condition. Here is just one source that says that.

How much does anyone want to bet that the shooter's main form of "news" is Fox News with its constant fear porn programming about "urban" (read black) crime in our cities and brown people coming over our border? It is a form of propaganda, and something needs to be done about it. Creating an alternate reality where peoples' home or person could at any moment be attacked and where guns are needed personal protection is very dangerous and leads to situations such as these.

Wtf. Why? The person reacted out of fear and shot this poor innocent kid! The perpetrator had choices. He could have NOT opened the door! When strangers knock on my door, I often don’t open it.

The LAST thing I would ever do, is pull out a gun and shoot them, for godsakes. We know this child was innocent. And now his life has been taken. I hope the person who shot him rots in jail.

Maybe it'll transpire that the kid was dealing drugs and it was a deal that went south.

Who knows. There's very little information. More will come out in due time. Maybe the allegation is right. Or maybe there's a lot more to it than we are being told for now. There have been plenty of instances when something that initially seemed like a horrible tragedy turned out to be much murkier once more information was released.

That's why I reserve all judgement until more is known and don't resort to knee jerk emotional reaction.

The shooter is in his 80s so, no, I don't think it was a "drug deal that went south."

Ugh...looks like a similar incident happened over the weekend in upstate NY. A car with four young people looking for a friend's home went up the wrong driveway, and the homeowner came out and fired two shots--one killed a young woman in the car. The shooter (older guy) and the victim (young woman) were white in this case. But still... These guys with guns act like they're living out on a remote homestead in the 1800s Wild West.
