When will the “Middle Finger Five” ANC 3C commissioners resign, especially Sauleh Siddiqui, Janelle Pagats, amd Hayden Gise? Flicking off a locally owned business and Tweeting “F” your constituents should be disqualifying.

Said constituents are telling a certain portion of the population, including school age kids, that their safety and well being is less important than their ability to have a chance at parking near a business.

Priorities matter and the attitude that being able to drive three blocks to park on Connecticut Avenue is more important than having safe passage for people wanting to a greener form of transportation is an explicit middle finger to that subset of the population, including many of the people who work in those businesses.

DP They need to resign. This is totally unacceptable for an elected official. Specially this : “The ANC 3C Majority has something to say – we’re doing bike lanes. F’ the ops.” Doing this to someone who has been in business for 30 years?

The bike lane decision has already been made. The people fighting a made decision are the ones in the wrong. We really live in the upside down.

I don't get it. Guy who owned the shop puts up sign that he knows is (as PP said) offensive to people who suffer traffic violence and are looking to mitigate it. Then gets butthurt when people take images outside his place of business flicking off said sign? Really? He didn't see that one coming? He figured oh i'll just put this sign with a giant NO sign on it and everyone walking by will be oh so overjoyed and celebrate me? Right.

Haha, go away boomer.

Haha, go away Bob Trumper!

F*** the ops!

(and just for you, boomer, know that ops doesn't mean old people, it means opposition. I know this confused some of you on CP listserv)

One problem if the sticky fingers crowd resigns from the ANC, is that Bob Trumper will just find other lackeys.

So the Trump conspiracist is back and thinks that their archnemesis is a Republican supervillain who puppeteers a DC DSA steering committee member, an Eaton dad, and an environmentalist advocate? It's off topic AF, but also what sort of wet brain crap is this?

I find it hard to believe anyone would support these ANC members attacking an immigrant business owner but I guess I am wrong. It is intolerant and hostile to single out and attack people like this.

What you are asserting literally did not happen. Facts matter.

+1

It just tells me the business owner doesn't care about my safety and thus, I will not patronize their business.

People who have strongly-held opinions based on emotions are often unable to see how anyone could disagree with them.

This "ends justifies the means" argument is concerning. What's more concerning is that the Middle Finger group are elected officials -- arrogantly celebrating their election -- by flicking off a local business and consitituents with whom they happen to disagree. One of the commissioners is in their twenties. Others are in their forties and fifties. A couple of them intend to stand for election as chair and vice chair of the ANC, representing the ANC in dealings with the District government and other stakeholders. Their conduct is not only unbecoming, it should be disqualifying.

Which ones? This seems like conjecture.

When you oppose a bike lane, you ar giving me the middle finger where my safety is concerned. But you don't seem to have any self awareness over that. Grow up.

What end justifies the means argument? Shopowner puts up polarizing sign. Some people (i'm sure more than just the ANC reps, lol) get upset at sign and give it the middle finger, cuss at it, or stop going to his shop. Shopowner cries foul on social media/news

If shopowner wants to put up the sign because they believe in it so much, okay sure fine whatever. But have a damn backbone about it. Its a giant "no" symbol about bike safety improvements. Really think that's going to go over 100% with no friction?

there is no 'dead horse' emoji here, but seriously, this guy has major issues

OMG, the thread. Goulet, despite being told this numerous times during the campaign and even in the debate, still denies that even soap in the bathrooms are an issue in DCPS.

Goulet is just gaslighting his constituents.
