 Hayden Gise

E-mail from Eric Goulet to the Palisades Listserv, November 7, 2:54pm: “I got the inclusion of the logos approved by the Office of Campaign Finance ahead-of-time” He needs to resign.
When will the “Middle Finger Five” ANC 3C commissioners resign, especially Sauleh Siddiqui, Janelle Pagats, amd Hayden Gise? Flicking off a locally owned business and Tweeting “F” your constituents should be disqualifying.
Said constituents are telling a certain portion of the population, including school age kids, that their safety and well being is less important than their ability to have a chance at parking near a business. Priorities matter and the attitude that being able to drive three blocks to park on Connecticut Avenue is more important than having safe passage for people wanting to a greener form of transportation is an explicit middle finger to that subset of the population, including many of the people who work in those businesses.
DP They need to resign. This is totally unacceptable for an elected official. Specially this : “The ANC 3C Majority has something to say – we’re doing bike lanes. F’ the ops.” Doing this to someone who has been in business for 30 years?
I don't get it. Guy who owned the shop puts up sign that he knows is (as PP said) offensive to people who suffer traffic violence and are looking to mitigate it. Then gets butthurt when people take images outside his place of business flicking off said sign? Really? He didn't see that one coming? He figured oh i'll just put this sign with a giant NO sign on it and everyone walking by will be oh so overjoyed and celebrate me? Right.
This "ends justifies the means" argument is concerning. What's more concerning is that the Middle Finger group are elected officials -- arrogantly celebrating their election -- by flicking off a local business and consitituents with whom they happen to disagree. One of the commissioners is in their twenties. Others are in their forties and fifties. A couple of them intend to stand for election as chair and vice chair of the ANC, representing the ANC in dealings with the District government and other stakeholders. Their conduct is not only unbecoming, it should be disqualifying.
