But this doesn't show declining enrollment It just shows a shortfall in a projection. Seems like you're the one trying to twist the truth here.

Yes they're lying. A dozen years ago the school had around 144,000 students their own numbers show it currently has around 158,000. That is growth in my book.

Here's an even more blatant example from the MCPS website:

"The official Montgomery County Public Schools enrollment for September 30, 2021, is 158,232 students. This number is 6,518 students less than the projected enrollment of 164,750, and 2,332 less than last year's enrollment of 160,564 students."

Over the past decade our school is gone from capacity to 20 something percent over capacity. It's really overcrowded. I wish more people would on enroll. They're just not building all these new schools like Woodward fast enough to deal with all the growth. I saw an ad from Blair the other day saying he wanted to build 30,000 more affordable housing units. All I could think about was do we have schools for all those new students?

What is MCPS afraid of? Their dishonest and unethical practices being told publicly? Parents eventually contacting a reporter and sharing their experiences?

Most families, whether they have students with special needs, below grade level students, and/or above grade level students are all faced with a system that doesn’t treat people fairly. Even teachers complain that they are threatened by principals and not treated fairly. At some point people are going to tell others of their experiences in MCPS or just leave.

Blair, Blair, Blair. All MCPS cares about and caters to is Silver Spring. Why? Because Montgomery County allows anyone to vote for anyone else's BOE District rep. And where are the greatest number of voters located? Silver Spring.

Here's the funny part. The ONLY reason why Blair is so overcrowded is because MCPS forced the Magnet to be there. If they moved the magnet mid-or-upper county, overcrowding wouldn't be an issue.

Shouldn’t MCPS be correcting their projected enrollment since the numbers are way over inflated? Or do they intentionally over inflate numbers to add to the MCPS budget and bloat?

You do realize each portable costs about $80,000 plus the cost of installation? And you do realize that portables have a history of growing mold that affects the health of teachers and students?

Such a waste. The money would have been better used fixing the HVAC in the school.

The budget is based on official fall enrollment numbers as of September 30th, not projections.
