— STA can’t prosecute anyone. — We all need public schools. Would you rather your fellow citizens be educated or educated? " Lol... total dumb move to steel iPhones that all have tracking devices and Key cars that all have cameras recording all who approach. Its a shame for the Wilson athletes, who actually won the game that they couldn't just let their win speak for them and let that be the impression that they left behind at a BB Tourni created by STA to honor a 30 + year BB Coach at the school who was African American. Instead, Wilson students seemed to prefer that they be be the ones to leave the lasting impression. I'd add that many Wilson parents were at the game and they did NOTHING to set any kind of expectation of normal behavior for their kids. You can't shake that |

Just make Wilson, Ward 3 in bounds only and instantly it becomes a very nice school filled with parents with ALL of the qualities you list.
Go to talk to Mary Cheh Fenty spent hundreds of millions building beautiful schools in Wards 4,5,6,7 & 8 and they are filled with teach for America recruits. No longer can it be claimed that these are poor facilities and disparate in the education offered. So, go to school in your own Ward and let Wilson be for Ward 3-would also take A LOT of pressure off of upper middle class parents who are getting priced out of DC Privates these days with tuition now at 50 K a year |

I'm going to lock this thread because it has become less about the events at the game and more about criticizing Wilson and/or public schools. For what it is worth, I have a son who is a Wilson student and he was at the game. Based on his version of events, which I have no reason to doubt, much of what has been described is greatly exaggerated. While certainly there was some grossly inappropriate behavior by Wilson students, that was confined to a very small minority of them.
