| DHs car is in the shop so I took him to work(hospital). He ended up having both our house keys on him. He texts me that he has it and now I’m locked out of our house. DH tells me to wait for his break (7:30 pm) and if not just hang out in the car (he gets out of work at 1am). He refuses to answer his phone or give the keys to someone else so I can get them. |
| Unless he's in surgery, he's a jerk. |
Nurse but he also won’t give them to security so I can get them. |
+1 He can recover from this by taking the initiative to install a smartlock, pronto. |
| Why cant you talk up to his floor? |
Why not? Is this some kind of power struggle you two typically engage in? |
To walk to reception where he can hand keys to his spouse? Yes, I do think a nurse can do that. |
| Can’t you go to his department and just get them? Why does he need to run them to you? |
He does t want to be known as problematic at work. I don’t get it. This is the first time this has happened. |
| NP. My mom was an ER nurse. It depends on how busy he is. If he literally cannot walk to the front desk and drop off the keys because he’s taking care of patients, I’d be annoyed at the situation, but forgive him. If he “can’t” because he’s uncomfortable leaving the keys with someone, I’d be very annoyed. |

Too late to help you today, but you need a hide-a-key or a combination style lock or at least a spare key left with a neighbor for the future.
Locksmiths are expensive, but can get you in if you want in badly enough to pay for it. |
| He’s being a jerk. |
He is in a locked unit and won’t come out of the door/hand them to someone else |
What is a locked unit? (sorry for my ignorance) |
either crazy people or babies |
