Republicans suck at addressing healthcare issues in America
And apparently that extends to actually wanting to exacerbate the nursing shortage! |
| Surely this was a mistake and will be fixed? |
| Generally not a good idea to mess with nurses. |
Nope. They want to limit how much they can take out in student loans. Only "professional" degrees like lawyers, doctors, and MBAs get to take out larger amounts of student debt. Nevermind the fact that doctorates in nursing are quite common at the senior levels for really complicated work (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - CRNA) |
|
Not just nurses!
“This meant that physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and audiologist were excluded from the list.” |
I know this; my wife is an APN. And my daughter is planning to get a BSN and subsequently an advanced degree. This won’t just affect the number of people getting those advanced degrees. It will reduce the number of people going into the field entirely, which is bad news for everyone. |
Just what the health system needs...more MBAs and fewer nurses
|
|
Once again just shows complete incompetence of the Republican party with regard to healthcare... From complaining about the ACA yet not having any plan to replace or repair it, to literally putting a plan in place to worsen existing crises in healthcare staffing.
Utter stupidity. |
| I can kind of see nurses since it is a BS degree. But physician assistant and nurse practioner degrees are professional degrees! |
| MAGA wasn't kidding about hating women. |
| physical therapy isn't a professional degree but chiropractor is?! |
Oh definitely. They will be lobbying heavily The tragedy is that the party of labor will also join them in the fight to create the h5B. Workers will continue to get screwed until they vote for leaders to stop the madness |
Hahahaha the ultimate representation of HHS under RFK.
|
Physical therapists are also affected. |
