Yes, we will fight racism with more racism! First they called it quotas. They said that was illegal, so had to change it to affirmative action. That was divisive, so they changed it to diversity. You have to give them credit for brainwashing the woke crowd into believing that they aren't discriminating against people based on race. |
they don’t work any harder than anyone else. The Japanese received reparations that the slaves and descendants of slaves haven’t. The Asians have the privilege of knowing and being able to go back to their homeland. They have the privilege of not being murdered in the streets of the United States by race soldiers with impunity. They have the privilege of not being completely sabotaged. I could go on but it would be too long a post. |
What is so horrifying about a woman with immigrant heritage being part of the administration. She identifies with the immigrants and it’s a win for them. |
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/2020/09/asian-american-racism-covid/ The article touches on the history of it. Asians weren’t allowed to be naturalized American citizens until the 1940’s, and even their children couldn’t be born as US citizens until Wong Kim Ark v. United States. Besides being unable to vote, never being allowed citizenship had serious repercussions, which I will highlight with the Expatriation Act of 1907. The Expatriation Act revoked citizenship rights from women who married non-citizens. I’m not kidding. Marrying an Asian would get your citizenship revoked. The Cable Act of September 22, 1922 repealed the Expatriation Act, with one major exception: female American citizens who married non-citizens of Asian descent could still be stripped of their citizenship. There were many other laws that trampled on Asian Americans. Asian Americans have and still get discriminated against. You just aren’t aware of it or choose to dismiss it. Maybe one day it will be taught in school just like elements of African American history. |
Miss CRAZY has entered the room! |
So you’re racist and ableist...yikes. |
Please go on. I want to read what you have to say here. |
... my point is, according to PP's definition of who is 'American', our next VP would belong not to the group that would "have a lot to discuss in this country" but to the group that "should have to operate in the system that real 'Americans' (white/black/native americans) work out. |
I didn't hear Indians claiming her before she got the VP spot. Not even when she was in the primary. Now all of a sudden after becoming VP, she isn't just black... she is the daughter of an Indian immigrant.
|
She’s always claimed Indian, until she ran for president. Seems more beneficial to black politically, but if you search her history she hasn’t claimed being black. It’s been Jamaican and Indian, never black. If you know about Jamaicans, you know there are many racial classifications there. |
I agree and it seems she has felt, she is biracial and mixed with two of those groups |
Harris's father is not African American so she would actually be 100% in the the group that "should have to operate in the system that those groups (Native Americans, White, and African Americans) work out". |
Tiger moms are figment of our collective imaginations. |
Hindu and Muslim are races now? Lol, gotta love white people |
+1. White people are very clever in forcing other races to take the punishment for the atrocities committed by their white ancestors |
