+1 The haters' obsession with her is a classic example of mean girls and bullies. They know every intimate detail of her life (or at least, they think they do) yet they claim they can't stand her. They actually obsessed. |
+100 I'm consistently amazed at just how literal some of these twits are. It's funny but also pretty sad that they have such a weird and narrow view of everything. |
DP. The point - that you missed by a mile - is that "healthy, mature adults" don't obsessively research and post about people/things they despise. Instead, they do what they can to avoid hearing about the object of their derision. For example, I skip right past any thread that is about someone I'm not interested in. But not you! You thrive on it. And that is beyond peculiar, to say the least. |
That PP made the exact point they wanted to. They don’t want to read anything negative about TS (cognitive dissonance), therefore those of us who do have negative opinions shouldn’t express them. So they try to make fun instead. It’s pretty basic stuff: If you don’t like the information, shoot down and belittle the source. Character assassination is a tactic that has been around a LONG time. |
Taylor goes through friends faster than toilet paper. She wants people to know every intimate detail because she appeared on talk shows daily, shared Instagram posts about her engagement, and has arranged pap walks. If she wants to hide, she can hide. She chooses not to do that. Plenty of other billionaire celebs can lay low when they want. TS craves the attention and has her PR machine put the stories she wants out there. I'm not a hater but I don't worship her like you do. |
Thank you, fellow normal person! I've noticed in this thread that people attack anyone with a slightly critical opinion, use the term "actually romantic," or label people a "hater." This is a tactic that TS has taught them because she blames others for her own issues. Everything is the fault of the patriarchy, Scooter Braun, Katy Perry, Jack Antonoff, Joe Alwyn, Charlie XCX, etc. Seriously ,I do not know of other artist with so many beefs against other people and with so many "diss tracks" to their name. We have at least one diss track per album. Learn how to deal with humans, Tay Tay. |
Not sure why there is a problem with a musician promoting her album. Feel like pretty much every other musician does this? Taylor has not had to do it as much in the past because of who she is, but I don’t find it that abnormal that she’s engaging with fans more during this phase, doing talk shows, etc., when she has a new album coming out. It’s a little weird to criticize her for that. |
What a leap to assume that people who question your weird, miserable hobby “worship” her. I never liked metal music growing up. So you know what I did? I didn’t listen to it. I sure as hell didn’t seek out opportunities to tell people how bad I thought was or how much I disliked the artists (whose names and lyrics I also didn’t know btw). THAT’S normal. Do you think it makes you sound cool? Do you feel superior? What’s missing from your life that you need this? |
Sounds like you not only don’t understand cognitive dissonance, you don’t understand the difference between a critique and criticism. If you come to a thread like this to criticize the artist in her entirely, you’re not here for honest discussion. And that’s weird. |
It's a leap to assume that people who don't like TLOAS are "haters" or "actually romantic" because they do not worship your weird, miserable Taylor Swift hobby. |
Yes, and you seem to be an expert at it. |
Of course you’re a hater. Your posts drip with derision about Taylor Swift. Just own it.
As for “worshipping her”? Hardly. I like a lot of her music and know virtually nothing about her personal life - unlike you! |
DP - she doesn’t have a beef with Jack Antonoff, Joe Alwyn, or Katy Perry. Are you confused? |
+100 The haters know FAR more about her than I ever will. It’s unsettling, to put it mildly. |
I kind of love it that the new Swiftie badge of honor is to know nothing about her. Progress!!! AND not all the reviews/articles of her were glowing. Gives me hope that maybe free speech will prevail and the power of internet fandom cults may be waning. |
