I agree that pop stars aren’t required to share the politics with us. |
Yes possible. I will never understand Bezos and Gates nodding along to speeches about climate change being a hoax. I suppose she is next. |
Whatever the prevailing liberal opinion is what she thinks. |
Some of you think she’s MAGA. Some of you think this. It’s sort of proving the point that if she opens her mouth, she’ll get blitzed/turn off a lot of people. Why would anyone invite that into their lives? It’s better to let people wonder than enter into some kind of mass internet argument. |
Yep. I hope she stays entirely mum on the subject. |
It is not a problem for Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Finneas, Madonna, or others. Strong people do not worry if some people do not agree with them. |
And if the entertainers you list espoused political views you disagreed with? You'd be ranting about that. There is no pleasing people like you unless we all agree 100% with your views - which is why many people simply aren't interested in engaging and find you tiresome. DP |
You could also say she is getting blitzed from both sides precisely because she ISN”T taking a stand and people have to guess her intentions. Which is really more her speed given she loves Easter eggs and training her fans to look for clues about her. This has worked well for her as a marketing strategy and by being wishy washy, it gives her fans something to idolize. It isn’t a compassionate or courageous stance to take, but who cares when you have billions- right Swifties! |
She can’t speak out to say shooting a mom dead in a minivan is wrong? If so, that is pathetic. You are right. If she is not against shooting a man ten times and the gov hunting and killing people, then I would not—as you say—be “pleased.” I assume she is cool with these murders. |
|
I thought she was not speaking out because of the terrorist attack threat on her show in Vienna, and then the little girls being stabbed to death at a Taylor Swift dance party event she wasn’t even at or had nothing to do with.
The killing of those girls haunts me all the time and it has nothing to do with me. So I can’t imagine how she must feel. She seems to be in a really tough spot. Not trying to defend her one way or the other, I used to really like her now but with the leaked Blake lively texts, I still listen to her music but now I just think of her as petty and kind of sad. But I do get her not speaking out after children were killed. |
Where’s your outrage at the 15,792 other celebrities who haven’t spoken out? |
+1. Taylor is the opposite of strong. She is closely controlled by her dad and publicist. She doesn’t have a sense of self or any conviction in her beliefs whatsoever. Just look at how she shriveled under her crazy fans’ pressure when she finally came out publicly as a couple with Matty Healy. Instead of defending him or telling people to back off, she stayed mum, tried to “reform” him and lost him. Mind you Matty was the one and only she’d ever wanted and someone she chased for a decade (in her own words). |
Strong people also don’t need public validation to know their views are solid even if private. Either way is fine with me. I don’t subscribe to the stay in your own lane way of thinking. But by that same token, I also don’t subscribe to the you must comment on every single thing way of thinking. At the end of the day, their views are no more valid or important than ours. And not for nothing Billie Eilish made a fool out of herself at the Grammys. She was rightfully schooled by the tribe whose land her house sits on. See how the works? Best of intentions and all that. |
Travis did a whole campaign around promoting the Covid vaccine so I’d be surprised if he was MAGA. |
Gates FFS. These people go where the money and power is. Travis is definitly that type. Taylor, i don't know. Maybe. |
