Absolutely this. Someone like the PP only wants to hear from celebrities if they parrot whatever THEY think. Glad she hasn’t gotten into it at all.

Not at all. But we'd like to know what they think and believe in. It shows character. Great fame and power come also with great responsibility. Unfortunately, Taylor doesn’t seem to understand or care about that.

Whatever the prevailing liberal opinion is what she thinks.

Some of you think she’s MAGA. Some of you think this. It’s sort of proving the point that if she opens her mouth, she’ll get blitzed/turn off a lot of people. Why would anyone invite that into their lives? It’s better to let people wonder than enter into some kind of mass internet argument.

It is not a problem for Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Finneas, Madonna, or others.

Strong people do not worry if some people do not agree with them.

+1. Taylor is the opposite of strong. She is closely controlled by her dad and publicist. She doesn’t have a sense of self or any conviction in her beliefs whatsoever. Just look at how she shriveled under her crazy fans’ pressure when she finally came out publicly as a couple with Matty Healy. Instead of defending him or telling people to back off, she stayed mum, tried to “reform” him and lost him. Mind you Matty was the one and only she’d ever wanted and someone she chased for a decade (in her own words).

except that she relased TTPD and told us all about it. that is conviction. no one would know otherwise. Now she didn't have enough conviction to release it without having attached hersefl to an anti-matty, but it wasn't nothing. A revealing brave act.

And if the entertainers you list espoused political views you disagreed with? You'd be ranting about that. There is no pleasing people like you unless we all agree 100% with your views - which is why many people simply aren't interested in engaging and find you tiresome.

Amen to that ^^

She can’t speak out to say shooting a mom dead in a minivan is wrong?

If so, that is pathetic.

You are right. If she is not against shooting a man ten times and the gov hunting and killing people, then I would not—as you say—be “pleased.”

I assume she is cool with these murders.

Where’s your outrage at the 15,792 other celebrities who haven’t spoken out?

Did the 15,792 celebrities you reference make movies about themselves in which they whine to their daddy about how they want to be “on the right side of history”?

She herself said she wanted to be on the right side of history. But fake! She does not really because now—suddenly—“silence is restraint.”

And she was silent about Ana Benevides who died at her concert. That young woman was never mentioned by the narcissist again.

DP. You know your lies are so easily disproven, right? The fact that you think no one will call you out makes YOU the narcissist. And a malignant one, at that. The death of Ana Benevides was not Taylor Swift's fault and normal, sane people know that.

The following day, Swift took to her Instagram stories to express how "shattered" she was about the loss. "I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this. There's very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young... I'm not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it. I want to say now that I feel this loss deeply, and my heart goes out to her family and friends," she wrote. She further announced that her Saturday show would be postponed, adding, that she would continue to prioritize the safety of concert-goers as well as those working behind the scenes to put the show on night after night.

When the show finally did go on, Taylor Swift paid tribute to Benevides in the best way she knew how: through song. She even invited the girl's family to meet with her backstage in order to pay her respects face-to-face.

Though Taylor Swift stated she wouldn't speak about the tragedy at her show, she performed a surprise song in Brazil that has been widely interpreted as a tribute. Fans noted that the pop star's 2022 hit "Bigger Than the Whole Sky" was not originally part of the setlist and was a touching way to honor the fan who passed away. It also proved to fans that Taylor Swift is absolutely heartbroken over Ana Clara Benevides's death. The song's opening lines are heart-wrenching and reflect the depth of the star's grief: "No words appear before me in the aftermath. Salt streams out of my eyes and into my ears."

Most heartbreakingly, observant fans noted a subtle but significant change in the lyrics. While the original line reads, "Every single thing to come has turned into ashes," Swift altered it to "Every single thing I touch has turned into ashes." As thousands of fans witnessed Taylor Swift tearfully choke on the lyrics, many concluded that the pop star felt guilty about Ana Clara Benevides's death. One X (formerly Twitter) user commented: "I know she feels absolutely awful about this, just know that it wasn't your fault Taylor. 💔🕊️"

Nine days after the tragic passing of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, Taylor Swift invited the late fan's family backstage before her concert, per People. The family, wearing shirts with Benevides' photo, took a picture with the star and was given a VIP guest tent. The Los Angeles Times further reported that "The Great American Dynasty" crooner covered their travel expenses and offered a charitable donation. This gesture followed a crowdfunding event by Swifties to assist in transporting Benevides' body back home. However, these financial contributions, though meaningful, do little to compensate for the loss of a life.
