"Undocumented immigrant" doesn't mean "a person from a different country who has no documents of any kind". You don't know what documents these two people have, and I don't either.

He says no other mainstream news station has covered this in their prime time broadcast. Yet.

Please tell me he's wrong. Please provide evidence. What about NPR?

Anyone?

I listen to NPR regularly and have heard nothing.

I am a huge fan of Kojo Nmamdi and he normally covers these types of stories soon after they happen. Have not heard anything yet but would like to.

does not play into the liberal media message.

It takes kojo a few weeks to get his act together on anything. Untwist your conservative panties.

He has a staff, Einstein.

Like I said, Who even knows how old these (illegal) undocumented rapists are.

No, that's not how it works. Start reading here: http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/info/enroll/homeless.aspx

When you say, "who knows", what you mean is, "I don't know".

A minor does not need ID to fly within the US, especially if there is no ID, and he is being reunited with his father.
He maybe had a letter from ICE with him, stating the name and birthday he told them, and who was picking him up at BWI.

"Special" rules for non-Americans?

Children under 18 do not need to show ID to fly. That goes for all children, including children who are US citizens.

Shouldn't there be an age limit for kids enrolling in High School. Maybe there should be an adult education center.

I hope you are advocating to eliminate red shirting.

Oh come on. This is not about red shirting.
This is about putting someone who has attended little or no school, and who is nearly 18, and would be working or training in a trade in every other country on the planet !! , in school for four (!) years, on taxpayers' money, while they are not supposed to be in this country in the first place.

Actually, no, it's not about immigration policy, it's about the rape of a high school student. Remember her? First she's the victim of a brutal rape, then all of the so-called "conservative" media in the country, and even the press secretary, further victimize her by using her rape to further their factually-false claim that unauthorized immigrants, as a group, are a menace to society.

And when I say "on taxpayers' money", I mean around $$ 20 freaking thousand dollars PER YEAR - depending on county- a figure that the school districts like to throw around annually, when they explain, why they don't have money, to build an addition to a school that is bursting at its seams, can't afford an extra specials teacher, etc. etc. you name it.

Disgusting. Yeah, good luck with that defense.
From what I have read, there is no way in hell this was consensual.

Just read this.
Unbelievable.

A couple of thoughts, and things that are notable.
The 18 year old was reported "of no fixed address", but this says he lives with his father.
He left Guatemala apparently alone, and 4 weeks later entered the US illegally, (something his lawyer described as a courageous trek), he then was in border patrol custody for about 2 weeks, then his father buys him a plane ticket to BWI.
His father lives here! (No mention of the legality/status of the father.)

Now the father retains a prominent criminal defense lawyer (Where is that money coming from?!), who claims the 18 year old is totally innocent, and he and his friend Montano were just having consensual sex with the girl (who has multiple physical injuries from the brutal rape), and furthermore they are intending to claim asylum here, because they were fleeing from gang violence in Guatemala.

This lawyer - Jezic - says this case is blown up simply, because of the anti-immigrant administration.

His family’s retention of Jezic puts Sanchez Milian in the hands of a well-respected criminal defense lawyer. A former prosecutor, Jezic is co-author of Maryland Law of Confessions and an attorney at his firm, Himedes Vladimir Chicas, is chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Immigration Law section.

I'll puke, if this lawyer gets him off, AND gets him asylum here.

Thank you for posting this. It is disgusting and everyone should know about it.

+1

That is horrible

People don't just wake up one day and brutally gang rape (vaginal, anal, oral) a little girl.

I think that it is extremely unlikely, that this was the first ever sexual assault these two teenagers committed.

This is so despicable.

Agreed

Maybe. But he's done stories on other topics reasonably quickly. Will wait and see. Would like to hear more.

"This" meant "this post" - as the other poster made the post about red shirting!!

And of course I know this is about a rape, a brutal rape, that could have been prevented from happening to ONE girl. I emphasize one girl, because if it was in my power to prevent, I would save ONE girl! That goes to the poster ("oh the number of rapes we would save from happening are negligible").
The laws of our country have completely FAILED HER and her family!!!
