Everyone knows they drank at the house. It would not be abuse of power to charge the adult with more than a slap on wrist. It would send a message. There are two dead kids as a direct result of drinking at this parent's house. |

I am sorry you don't like the American justice system. "Everyone knows" is not a legal term that I am aware of. Maybe you can help write a new law that can make sure things like this are punished to the fullest extent. Are you? Doing anything? To change the laws? Are you doing anything? I am also waiting for the thread on the man who killed the police officer. You seem to really care about the MoCo community and you must be really busy with the holidays and can't keep up. Please I would like a blow by blow update. A Police Officer is dead. Has he been arrested. Where was he drinking? Why does somebody have 2 DWI's and still drives. Did he have an interlock system on his car. I am sure you have been following that and have more information than the general public... thanks in advance for the input. Hey ... what happened to the woman that killed the Gonzaga boy? Can you let us know since you are so interested in this subject. Did that woman go to jail? Did she lose her job with the military? |
| Everybody knows means find three kids with parents unlike you that are protecting a man that contributed to the death of three teenagers. You should be so proud of yourself and your cool kid teens. Check out cases in Florida and California, if some kids would just tell the TRUTH, it could be more than the slap on the wrist. |
I am not protecting anybody. My kids are not allowed to drink. My kids are pretty cool, sorry if that bothers you. Even if somebody said that the kids drank at the house, it is not proof in a court of law. This is not Florida or California. The laws here are very lenient. Even though I think it is insane a parent let's kids drink in their house, i recognize you have an unhealthy obsession with this group of kids. I suspect you are perversely happy that a "cool kid" messed up and feel justified in your glee about their demise.. You need serious therapy. |
NP here. If being upset by an injustice qualifies PP for therapy, then sign me up too. But I don't think there's anything wrong with expressing disgust/dismay over the fact that a bunch of upper class parents can band together to silence witnesses and successfully shut down an investigation. Yes, I get the instinct to protect their kids. In the short term they get to escape consequences and the possibility of having their "futures" hurt. But in the long run these kids also learn that the rules don't apply to those with money/means to get around them. As parents, it also makes you culpable in future accidents stemming from underage parties, where some tougher sanctions for hosting and resultant deaths, might actually have made a difference. |
| I am not happy at all that a bunch of cool kids messed up. I am disgusted at the parents, like you suggesting therapy, that this it is good to teach kids to not tell the truth, break the law and think it is okay because you might have money. Way to go parent--who needs therapy? |
Dipsh*t, according to the other survivor, they did as well as cold beer cans at the scene thrown from the car. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/we-felt-invincible-new-report-details-deadly-teen-crash-party-that-preceded-it/2015/09/18/be2947ce-5d77-11e5-b38e-06883aacba64_story.html This isn't a huge mystery. The hosting parents should have been charged with more. Even the parents of the driver and the dead kids with prior drinking violations, should be charged. They failed as parents. |

Police report released. The Post article alleges this wasn't the first teen drinking party at that house.

Prosecutors have said fewer than five teens were willing to say that Saltzman saw them with alcohol in their possession. Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy has said “without that linkage,” his office was limited in the case. Since Constant PP is upset about the Montgomery County State's Attorney's decision, I suggest that Constant PP run for Montgomery County State's Attorney in 2018. |

I hate to bring this back to the top, but the Saltzman wife is organizing a trip to Mexico. These people clearly did not learn their lesson. So disappointing.

| Really!!!! What is wrong with that family. Still desperate to be the "cool" parents. |
Doesn't appear that they think they did anything wrong, does it, if not legally, then morally. And what parents would allow their kids go with these people to Mexico? |
| That is really pathetic -- last year those kids all were drinking in Mexico -- big time. I guess the $5000 wasn't enough to teach the Saltzman family a thing. Good for the principal. |
| I am sorry, but those two Salesman parents are exactly the type parents we need to fear. |
