So the irresponsible lawyer parent plead guilty last week. No mention of the girl's other parent, and if she was also at home hosting the kids' drinking.
Just horrible. Do you have a link?
I heard it on the radio. He got off with a pathetic $5,000. fine. Utterly shameful.
He didn't "get off with a $5000 fine". The law states that the maximum penalty for each charge of supplying alcoholic beverages is $2500 per teenager. Apparently the state could only prove two charges since nearly the entire group of party goers retained attorneys and wouldn't talk to the police.
Well, there was one drunk driver and two dead kids in the car as well as another underage passenger who had minor injuries. So that's at least 4 teenagers that the police knew about and were at the scene.
No. They knew they were in the car. That does not prove they drank at he house.
Dipsh*t, according to the other survivor, they did as well as cold beer cans at the scene thrown from the car. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/we-felt-invincible-new-report-details-deadly-teen-crash-party-that-preceded-it/2015/09/18/be2947ce-5d77-11e5-b38e-06883aacba64_story.html This isn't a huge mystery. The hosting parents should have been charged with more. Even the parents of the driver and the dead kids with prior drinking violations, should be charged. They failed as parents.
