| GA just took Charlotte Independence. The mid-Atlantic is now -2 team in the conference. Not top teams however they are making it interesting. Is this going on in any other regions? |
| It's not GA taking them. It's programs wanting MLS Next for boys. |
| At some point ECNL will not have enough paying customers |
| Why are you cheering on General Admission taking low level teams? |
|
There is also a turf war in the Gulf area (see additions of ECRL Gulf, and GA adding a few Louisiana and Mississippi clubs.
As well as the Pacific Northwest. Interested to see what the big picture is here |
What has ECNL added…………… |
Check back in the North Atlantic soon |
|
It is time to get Maryland teams into Mid Atlantic league.
Works well for ECNL DMV teams. |
The problem is HS soccer. MD and VA have different HS soccer seasons. MD matches up with PA and NJ. |

Wow!! |
with private HS soccer happening, I do not see any difference. Teams are dealing with it already. |
| GA's strongest region is the northeast (MA, NJ, PA). Now they are aggressively grabbing market share in the mid atlantic. Could we see ECNL/GA strength splitting geographically? ECNL strongest in the south & west, with GA stronger in the east? Kind of makes sense since majority of colleges recruit regionally, other than the top 25 programs from the P4 conferences. |
They won’t be Adding STA. |
GA managed this phenomenon. Not that deep folks, just need to chunk games in the fall for VA HS aged teams, and in the spring for MD HS aged teams. It means some colder games in November and February, but could also help VA teams stay fresh in the spring after HS soccer winds down if they strategically played MD teams in the May window to prepare for national summer events more effectively. |
