| Why would any self-respecting club enter any chat on this cesspool of egotistical dads and fragile milennial moms |
exactly. And going to lose all trust in a parents when they apply next year. This is all about keeping the money flowing. |
| What is the latest? This was an interesting thread |
| CISC is losing all of their top girls. They will be lucky to still have a club in 3 years. They knew they were leaving for GA because their boys squad was getting kicked out of national and they proceeded to have tryouts without telling the parents, locked them in, broke the news, and then upped the cost. Now most of their girls are at CSA practices. |
Not sure how great of a situation they'll be in at CSA if the ECNL rosters balloon to 30+ players. |
I'd give CSA a 2nd badge if I were ECNL a la PDA. Their teams are very good |
Appreciate the update. The whole narrative of there are far more boys teams than girls teams so clearly that's the priority should take note. Sure, getting MLSN on the boys side will help, but if you lose an entire girls competitive side, that's going to make a dent. |
Totally agree, now that would be a good situation for the CISC girls. Mid Atlantic needs to add 1-2 anyway with loss of NVA and CISC. CSA deepens their player pool and probably drops the final hammer blow to the CISC girls program. |

It's interesting to see what has happened in the ECNL Mid-Atlantic.
What is happening is that there will be a consolidation of talent (girls) in the Charlotte area at CSA and in Northern VA at VDA until GA matures and grows into a better choice, if that even happens at all. Playoff spots guaranteed in the MA will drop again - two or three spots? Does ENCL ever consolidate their playoffs overall to just 16 teams like they do with the U19's? I don't see them getting away from the $$ that is to be made with having 44 teams plus the showcases at the U16/U17 age groups. Interesting times... |

ECNL needs to realign the mid Atlantic . Put Pipeline Celtic and MD United back in MA for an even 12 teams with marginal travel required. They changed due to HS soccer but realistically VA has private in Fall and public in spring so you will never align with everybody.
|
| ECNL Mid Atlantic could also put CESA and SCU back in the conference. |
| Is there a possibility for CSA and/or Richmond United to get a second ECNL to bring the number of teams back to 12? |
100% this. ECNL teams like VDA, FVU and Arl often run 30-50% private school or bridge crossers from DC/MD. There’s always a chunk of kids playing both at the same time. |
| How many teams are in other ecnl conferences? |
| I also think that increasing the number of national team at CSA will make a leap from RL to NL more feasible. It never happens now, but a second team creates a bridge. |
