Because they have three teams or more per age group. The real question is how many will back out if already committed to Union and if Union will still make families pay the Club dues (which they shouldn't, these are still kids in the end!).

10s and 11s have a real shot at winning the Nat'l Championship if they pick up the best Union players. Nothing will help the 09s, not even Trinity Rodman. 12s could get some much needed help but would have SC...younger age groups will still see parity of kids moving club to club for years.

Delusional - characterized by or holding false beliefs or judgments about external reality that are held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, typically as a symptom of a mental condition.

I don’t think it’s delusional. If the 10s picked up the best from VU, they could be a powerhouse.

11's are closer than the 10s which is why KL stuck with them. 10s are good but Union 10s are better, they are not leaving for this hot mess. Nobody in the DMV is winning an ECNL national championship period. Put our hopes in a potential GA team as region is the best solution if you want to thump your chest about nattys

Ummmmm, VDA 09s have entered the room and strongly disagree. Ranked #2 in the US.

GA is not possible either. FCV days are over. Let's not get anyones hopes up.

You mean sex. Sex refers to biological characteristics assigned at birth. Gender is a social construct related to how one sees themselves and expresses themselves.

If you use "either" it's sex. If you insist on "gender" then you cannot use the word "either" as there are many more genders than two.

I realise you believe yourself to be "inclusive" by saying gender but it is actually more hurtful to say there are only two genders, which you did by using the word, "either.' And no, the terms are not interchangeable.

As you have no valid response and nothing I said was incorrect, from either the right or left of the political spectrum, you do the usual. The usual is rule #5.

5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."

Oh stop trying to make this a political gender thing.

It’s all the girls from VA trying to avoid the mess on their side of the river!

Why would 2011s be leaving Union if DB is coming back ? He seems to be a well liked coach.

VDA '09 are the team that are even in the conversation, but still not happening.

He/She/They not getting enough attention in other places so it had to be brought up here. Move along, I assure you no one else cares.

Maybe because they lost quite a few starters to other teams and already were just a middle of the pack conference level team.

SC is getting to the point of burning through kids at a higher rate than replacing them for 12 and 13. Maybe tryouts will prove me wrong. Arguably has the worst reputation for abuse in the whole DMV right now. And he deserves every bit of it.

Someone said he was NJ previously? That's the perfect environment for him since I found him perfectly fine from a PA perspective. He's not even close to loudmouth in that region

It depends on the game. He’s not always at his worst and there’s been another coach as a “babysitter” at many games because of complaints. And then there’s the stuff you don’t hear that he says on the sideline or to the team after.

Honestly, he does cause mental anguish to some of his players that is really not ok.
