Previously, I believed Tay was this amazing songwriter. Once I listened to the memos, I learned she interrupts the producers she hired, can’t sing on key, and offers lame lyrics. She was also seeking praise from her producers for her bad ideas.

Ariana, in a video of her working with Martin, can do MUCH more with her voice and one can see her talent. I do t even like her or listen to her music, but I can see she is an excellent singer.

Her daddy paid $500k or a million to make her career. He bought copies of her first album and did so much to make her a star despite her lack of ability.

I don’t understand the whole her daddy bought her career for $500,000-$1 million. Many upper middle class parents could do that, if they thought the return on investment would be another Taylor Swift.

Yes, most child stars have parents who are invested in their success and can afford to do things like have one parent quit work and be the manager and supervise the kids on set and also pay for expenses like coaching or training and things like headshots and travel expenses in the early years. That’s not unique to Taylor. It’s just that millions and millions of people try this every decade and very few get anything out of it.

Very few young people are willing to spend hours and hours a day learning different instruments and writing songs and perfecting that craft like she did and does. It’s way less than one in a million and there will be many who sadly put in the hard work but don’t have the talent. Crediting her parents $500,000 for launching Taylor’s multi billion dollar career is odd.

Her daddy paid $500k or a million to make her career. He bought copies of her first album and did so much to make her a star despite her lack of ability.

Her songs are built around whatever is easy to play on guitar.

I still love “Maroon” from Midnights and will listen to the Folklore and Evermore albums. Joe seems like he was a good producer / co-writer as was, probably, Matty. But she is so busy destroying her relationships…and her new man does not have the talent to produce albums.

I don’t understand the whole her daddy bought her career for $500,000-$1 million. Many upper middle class parents could do that, if they thought the return on investment would be another Taylor Swift.

Yes, most child stars have parents who are invested in their success and can afford to do things like have one parent quit work and be the manager and supervise the kids on set and also pay for expenses like coaching or training and things like headshots and travel expenses in the early years. That’s not unique to Taylor. It’s just that millions and millions of people try this every decade and very few get anything out of it.

Very few young people are willing to spend hours and hours a day learning different instruments and writing songs and perfecting that craft like she did and does. It’s way less than one in a million and there will be many who sadly put in the hard work but don’t have the talent. Crediting her parents $500,000 for launching Taylor’s multi billion dollar career is odd.

Scott Swift is the one who laid it all out in his letter. I am just the one who paraphrased his own words. He also talks about his body parts and how his private ones do not work well. You can google the letter and read it for yourself.

DP I've read the letter. They clearly put tremendous effort into their daughter. That did not guarantee the result they get. She had privilege, for sure, but it would all be down the drain if she didn't connect with the audience. It's not something that anyone could duplicate if they followed all the same steps. It's the same way families mortgage their home to pay for their kids to have the best figure skating coaches. That does not mean they go to the Olympics or have any type of notable career.
