Sure, that's what you keep saying as you continue to post here about this album.

my 11 year old daughter is still listening to it. It lasted longer than some other recent pop star new albums. But oddly, I've only heard Ophelia on the radio 2-3 times. It hasn't hit heavy radio rotation of sabrina's man's best friend album songs (which my daughter never listens to despite listening to her last one a lot).

Are you kidding? I hear Ophelia over and over and over - and see TikToks of the dance, which has become a huge trend.

And she clearly isn't writing all of her songs, she obvi has teams of ghostwriters signing NDAs, so I wouldn't read anything into the babble she sings.

You just described yourself. And yes - she does indeed write her own songs either alone or with collaborators (Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, Shellback, Max Martin, Bon Iver, etc.) - and she credits them each and every time.

She does not credit people every single time or she would have credited Michael Jackson and "I Want You Back" for using his ideas for "Wood" on TLOAS.

Antonoff is over her.

Shellback and Martin are likely over her by now. You can hear how she doesn't listen to Martin and Shellback and talks over them if you listen to her voice memos. If you listen to Ariana and Martin working together, you see a whole different level of professionalism and collaboration.

It's fine. She can be mid and still sell out her stadiums. Her core fans will buy anything at this point--even broken TLOAS hairbrushes and lightning bolt necklaces that break.

You keep bringing up her “voice memos.” I have no idea what you’re referencing. But how funny that someone who thinks she’s “mid” and is fixated on baseless, evidence-free claims, knows all about obscure things that most people couldn’t care less about.

You are the very definition of a “core fan,” which must be upsetting for you to acknowledge!

I thought the same thing! I’m actually a pretty big Taylor fan and I have never heard these voice memos lol.

It’s so weird that a non-fan would bother.

It reminds me of "Actually Romantic," tbh! I'm not a fan of that song, but it completely applies to the rabid haters here. They spend SO much time and energy researching the mundane and diving down internet rabbit holes that normal people simply don't care about. Someone else was referring to Swift fans as "parasocial," but that term perfectly describes her haters. It's pretty amusing.

TBH, I wouldn’t point out that song as being anything but cringe. She says it makes her get sexual pleasure from it, (but not in a lesbian way, one would presume). In the manly “ I get sexual pleasure when I establish dominance over women” kind of way.

“Dominance”? It is indeed a cringey song, but you’re reading waaaaaaay too much into it.

Nope. That is what it means. If you can’t understand the implied/implicit meaning behind things, cool, but those kind of statements (this is like a guy saying he gets “wood” when a woman talks bad about him) have dominance/power behind it. Especially when Taylor is clearly top of the music food chain at the moment, this is a power play. By all means, give it your own shallow reading, but it is CRINGEY!!!

Oh wow. What's cringey is your entire take. Gross, in fact.

That song is so out of place on the album. One theory is she is saying she doesnt regret ruining her friendship with mattt by dating. I dont know if I buy it. Did they have a friendship or a ten year fliration? Maybe she just needed a 12th song for her 12th album?

Are TS and MM haters the same people? Or is this personality that common? Get. A. Hobby. So weird. I can’t imagine expending so much energy on something I dislike.

Oh for God’s sake. That song is about her good friend from HS who died and how she wished she had “ruined the friendship” by seeing if it could have been more. The boy’s mother even commented on it. It has nothing to do with MH and some of you need to move on, already.

But I think the TS haters are the Kate Middleton haters. Same tone in all their posts. Bizarre.

Cognitive dissonance explains how cults exploit people's need to reduce the mental discomfort of conflicting beliefs and actions by reinforcing commitment to the group. When members invest heavily in a cult—through time, money, or emotional energy—and later face evidence that contradicts the group's ideology, they experience dissonance. To resolve this tension, instead of abandoning their investment, members may rationalize or double down on their beliefs, becoming more devoted to reduce the pain of admitting they were wrong.

It's so weird that a fan would not listen to them...She released them, so why not listen to how she made the song?

What's truly weird is that a self-professed hater would buy the different albums all so that they could listen to her voice memos - don't you think? I haven't bought any of her albums, I simply listen to the songs I like via streaming. And I'd consider myself a fan. How do you explain *your* obsession?

I find it interesting to hear about how people develop songs. I watched the entire Beatles documentary. That’s how I learned Paul is a jerk and John had major issues.

Previously, I believed Tay was this amazing songwriter. Once I listened to the memos, I learned she interrupts the producers she hired, can’t sing on key, and offers lame lyrics. She was also seeking praise from her producers for her bad ideas.

Ariana, in a video of her working with Martin, can do MUCH more with her voice and one can see her talent. I do t even like her or listen to her music, but I can see she is an excellent singer.

Nice try anyway with attacking me for “buying” albums with her voice memos.
That doesn’t make for much of an argument in your favor. And I also did not buy the albums with the memos.

Anonymous wrote:Taylor’s fascination with Elizabeth Taylor continues. In Ready For It: “Burton to this Taylor” - Richard Burton was Elizabeth Taylor’s long-term scandalous on and off lover. Here she sings, “And I can't have fun if I can't have... you”. Sounds awfully similar to “F&ck it if I can’t have him, I might just die, it would make no difference.”

In Ivy, believed to be a Matty song: “your opal eyes are all I wish to see.” From ChatGPT: “Because opals are known for their depth and changing colors, opal eyes symbolize someone who is emotionally complex, elusive, mysterious or otherworldly.” 🤷‍♀️
Opalite aka Travis is the fake/poor man’s opal…….

Kim K was releasing a documentary about Elizabeth Taylor so TS had to try and ruin it of course.

Then she writes incorrectly about Ophelia from Hamlet and announces her own engagement around the time there is promo for the Hamlet in which Joe plays Laertes.

Taylor is the pettiest woman who ever lived.

It’s pretty obvious what their issue is. Ask them about Beyonce and then they will gush.

She trained people to go down rabbit holes and even used that same term “rabbit hole” in an interview.

That’s why she installed orange doors across the world with QR codes that took you to AI-made videos that allowed you to decode a word and all twelve words from the twelve doors turned into a message to buy a pink record from Target.

And you make fun of the FANS for going down the rabbit holes that she has trained them to go down?

Tell your leader to stop making Easter eggs and rabbit holes then.

No, the PP clearly is making fan of rabid haters who go down the rabbit holes. For a fan who enjoys that kind of thing as a puzzle, more power to them. I am not into it. I don't feel "trained" to do it. I just browse reddit and see what people come up with and think "oh, that's interesting" but you don't even need to do that to just enjoy her music. I vaguely remember reading about the orange doors but I, a casual fan, don't know as much about it as what you wrote.

I would think a hater would not follow the rabbit holes since it's so unpleasant to them. It's strange if they do.

I was a fan so it’s not that weird I know about her. I just opened my eyes and began to see there was not much talent there.

I appreciate the posts here that can say the like her songs but then one li e ruins it for them. This is a view I trust more than someone who likes all the songs without one bit of critical thinking.

Her daddy paid $500k or a million to make her career. He bought copies of her first album and did so much to make her a star despite her lack of ability.

Her songs are built around whatever is easy to play on guitar.

I still love “Maroon” from Midnights and will listen to the Folklore and Evermore albums. Joe seems like he was a good producer / co-writer as was, probably, Matty. But she is so busy destroying her relationships…and her new man does not have the talent to produce albums.

Am I supposed to be insulted by this question? 😂😂

I’ll just go put Band Aids on my wounds now. 😆

Hope you one day find out about Taylor.
