I was a fan so it’s not that weird I know about her. I just opened my eyes and began to see there was not much talent there.

Her daddy paid $500k or a million to make her career. He bought copies of her first album and did so much to make her a star despite her lack of ability.

I find it interesting to hear about how people develop songs. I watched the entire Beatles documentary. That’s how I learned Paul is a jerk and John had major issues.

Previously, I believed Tay was this amazing songwriter. Once I listened to the memos, I learned she interrupts the producers she hired, can’t sing on key, and offers lame lyrics. She was also seeking praise from her producers for her bad ideas.

I know Ruin The Friendship is allegedly about a HS crush who died, I just don’t buy that she is reminiscing about him 15+ years after his funeral and 20 years after she didn’t kiss him at a dance. At the end she sings “And my advice is always answer the question, better that than to ask it all your life.” It relates directly to her song Question ? on Midnights, which is supposed to be for Matty. Also repeating “Should’ve kissed you anyway” multiple times sounds just like “She has a boyfriend anyway.” That, plus the music similarities.

You just described yourself. And yes - she does indeed write her own songs either alone or with collaborators (Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, Shellback, Max Martin, Bon Iver, etc.) - and she credits them each and every time.

She does not credit people every single time or she would have credited Michael Jackson and "I Want You Back" for using his ideas for "Wood" on TLOAS.

Shellback and Martin are likely over her by now. You can hear how she doesn't listen to Martin and Shellback and talks over them if you listen to her voice memos. If you listen to Ariana and Martin working together, you see a whole different level of professionalism and collaboration.

It's fine. She can be mid and still sell out her stadiums. Her core fans will buy anything at this point--even broken TLOAS hairbrushes and lightning bolt necklaces that break.

I find it interesting to hear about how people develop songs. I watched the entire Beatles documentary. That’s how I learned Paul is a jerk and John had major issues.

Previously, I believed Tay was this amazing songwriter. Once I listened to the memos, I learned she interrupts the producers she hired, can’t sing on key, and offers lame lyrics. She was also seeking praise from her producers for her bad ideas.

Ariana, in a video of her working with Martin, can do MUCH more with her voice and one can see her talent. I do t even like her or listen to her music, but I can see she is an excellent singer.
