So it sounds like she’s getting what is outlined in the prenup, plus $60k/mo. that the judge already ordered for CS until the kids age out. She’s getting peanuts from a guy worth $400+ million, after giving him the best part of her life and three beautiful kids.

He’s a prick of the highest order. I hope his Horizon films sink like a stone at the box office.

Every woman on the planet agrees with you.

Nope, don’t speak for me. I have no issues with Kevin.

+1 same. The prenup should have been enforced. Team Kevin.

Agree the prenup should be enforced. Nonetheless, the small amount of the prenup for a "gentleman" worth 400 million dollars is a perfect example of his cheapness and low regard for a woman he professed to love.

She was stealing from him! She bought herself and her parents expensive cars months before she filed.

Baumgartner was allegedly using the household staff’s credit cards, provided by Costner, to take out cash advances and purchase items for her use. She reportedly paid her divorce lawyer, Susan Wiesner, “on the credit card of an employee which is traditionally used for Costner family house charges and paid by [Kevin].” He also claims she spent $25,000 on a criminal defense attorney from his personal property fund

Christine "has shown a disturbing propensity in the last several months, both before and after separation, to take Respondent’s property without his knowledge or consent, especially since this case was filed."

First of all, she was not "stealing from him", they were married.

The bolded above screams "woman trying to leave an abusive and controlling man who controls all the money". This is textbook.

To me, what she did was stealing. It’s no different to taking money and stashing it away in a secret account, that is also stealing.
He gave her a generous allowance after all, right? She shouldn't have control of any of their assets or income, right?
Correct.

He's a rich old man who thinks he should be in control of everything. She'll be much better off not being in that kind of marriage where she's viewed like a child on an allowance.

She could have earned her own money instead of being 100% reliant on him.

Or, just have been a First Wife. Never be a Second Wife ladies!

More importantly, don't marry a controlling jerk type guy.

The event was an annual fundraiser for One805 - an organization that provides counselling and mental health services to first responders. It was started after the Woolsey fires in 2018. Costner provides his field and hosts the fundraiser, which this year was a music festival. It is attended by hundreds of people. Tickets are $350 or a table is $12000 with all proceeds going to One805.

Not sure why that is something to criticize.

Sure, it’s a good cause.

But it’s a PR event for Costner and celebs.

And it’s interesting who showed up and how they all damaged reputations. They’re thirsty.

This is the fifth or sixth year he has hosted it. It wasn't something he drummed up for his own divorce PR. Putting on a massive fundraiser like that is expensive and if he didn't host it, One805 wouldn't be able to run it. It kind of shows people are just about hating when they decide that hosting an annual funraiser for first responders in a community that had a massive wildfire is a sign of him being this horrible jerk just trying to redeem his image. That just shows a massive lack of critical thinking. He would have hosted the exact same event even if he had still been married. It was planned long before the divorce. People have lost perspective when they hate everything about someone - without discriminating if it is worth hating or not. Hating for the sake of hating is a pretty immature approach to life.

We get it.

You luv Kevin.

Like I said, it’s a good cause.

Let’s give him a big hand for reaching into his very deep pockets to host it. Hooray!

I just think it’s interesting *who* showed up. There’s an article on DM this morning. It was the top story earlier. Oprah, Ellen, and Harry and Meghan…all of whom currently have damaged reputations. It’s a safe space they can show up for some easy PR.

It’s interesting that better celebs didn’t show up. It’s plausible that Hollywood realizes Costner is damaged at the moment so they are steering clear.

That’s all.

Geez.

All the press for the event seems reallllly thirsty.

Hollywood royalty?!?! As if!

The only celebs listed are Costner, Oprah, Ellen, and H&M…pretty much the local celebs from the fancy pants neighborhood in Montecito that benefitted from the help of the first responders in 2018.

I mean, why not write a big check…Oprah…instead of selling tix and tables to regular folks?

And why is Meghan wearing a heavy coat dress? She’s pictured alongside a woman wearing a tiny summer dress. I think she’s trying to emulate Kate’s style which works in chilly London but looks silly in CA.

I am pretty sure it is H and Ms team putting out the PR as they are in every picture and post related to the event.

You have no idea who else was there. This is who H and M took pictures with, not a roll call of the event.

I don't love Kevin at all. I don't even know him and I think the last Kevin Costner movie I saw was Dances with Wolves. I just don't have as much hatred towards anyone on earth as some on here have for Kevin. When you hate someone (you dont even know) so much that you have nothing but negative things to say about a fundraiser for mental health for first responders, it is time to take look inward.

Ftr I don’t hate him.

I only came to this thread after seeing all the Harry and Meghan press for the event.

But I do believe Costner’s rep has been negatively impacted by his divorce and that might prompt celebs to steer clear. Remember: this isn’t Kevin’s first divorce. He has a bunch of kids with different women. He’s notorious for trading in for a younger model. And there’s nothing noble about that. Hosting an annual fundraiser doesn’t negate that.

I think it's wonferful and humble to host an event at which you'll receive an award.

Criticism of someone's behavior does not equate to hatred. Grow up.

Meghan doesn’t need to emulate Kate’s style. Meghan’s style has always been better than Kate’s.

They're from totally different backgrounds. Just depends on the type and style you prefer.

I am convinced these posters are Christine’s, women previously married to wealthy men who didn’t get as much in the divorce as they wanted, and they are channeling their rage against their exes at Kevin in an online forum because everyone in their RL is tired of listening to their rants.

Your take is silly. You are claiming celebs who supported this worthy cause are trying to repair their image? One805 is probably wishing all celebs were in image repair mode.
