She was 17. He was 47. #MeToo changed how she thinks of their relationship

Wow this was really good. Difficult to listen to at times. They were married for 45 years! I wonder what it was like for her to be 50 and caring for an 80 year old. He died at age 92!

Lots of long marriages among retired couples started this way. I’m curious if those women will rethink their origin stories, or just dig in deeper.

I listed to the podcast and found it strange. I’m glad they called her out of knowing he was married with kids!!

I mean, she was 17. If a 47 year old married father cannot resist being approached by an actual kid, I think that marriage was doomed regardless.

She sounds absolutely insufferable. Typical narcissist artist.

Listened yesterday to this interview yesterday and agree that she’s insufferable.

I was surprised she got remarried. I would bet she doesn’t have many female friends and doesn’t know how to be alone. Kind of similar to the typical widower who remarried quickly.

Losers in life find each other.
He cheated on his wife and kids with a 17yo!!! What a immoral mess. She was preyed upon, but still an idiot for then shacking up with him.
Whole thing is gross.

Behaving morally avoids all sorts of problems in life. That’s my takeaway.

I find it odd that she’s revising her story so much

Honestly, you look at alot of these older relationships (our grandparents, etc) and it's really disgusting. So many "Ohhh they loved each other so much and were married for a million years" but he met her at 13 when he was 30 or something nasty. So gross.

Hollywood films throughout history has glamorized these ridiculous age gaps. The men consistently being over 20 years older than their counterparts, has been normalized.

Oh god she sounds awful. "It's sad I've never dated a young man"? Girl, it's sad you were a homewrecker!

Give me a break. 17 is old enough to know not to f uck a married dude

I give the 17 year old from a crappy family a pass for dating a married man. She had so little life experience and such an immature brain. He’s the one that made the commitment and should have done better.
