Your kid didn’t play back when it was SY. How would you know? I’d ask you to provide any evidence of your assertions but I know it is like asking you for any evidence of anything. Pointless. You never post a link or sources. You’re angry that your kid is likely to be moved down a level under SY. You’re mad and lashing out. You’ve spent a bunch of money trying to maintain a first team spot for your kid and keep some elusive dream of playing D1 college ball alive and now the writing is on the wall. It is really not worth it man. It is just a few short years and then they’re adults and none of this matters. |
Thats quite a narrative / strawman you've constructed in your head. Maybe try stepping out of your moms basement and getting some fresh air. |
These are always your responses when you’re caught and have nothing of any value to respond with. You can never actually post any evidence or links because you have none. You admitted it a page or two back. Your kid is getting bumped down in this reset. You said it yourself, it is impacting you. That’s why you care so much (which has been baffling to every one else who has visited this thread). It’s okay man. It will be fine. |
Good for you. If I spent half my waking hours for half a year to try to change the youth soccer rules to get one August born girl kicked off my daughter's team and it failed miserably, I would be mad....and then ashamed of my selfishness for trying to sabotage others. |
Based on the previous posts, it seems their DD was very young when the switch to BY occurred so probably played beginner rec ball a year or so before the switch. Rec is always grade oriented so they are just misunderstood how travel worked back then because they just had a ulittle. |
Here's stupidity on display proudly 8th Grade is a school grade 2026 is a Graduation Year Read it slowly repeatedly till you understand |
🤣😂🤣😂 |
I cant keep watching this happen. You do realize that if you know a players grade in school that you also know their graduation year. Also if you know a players graduation year you can track back to their grade in school. They're the same thing. This is why people are laughing at you. |
let em cook!!! |
So you can ask a kid, what's your Graduation Year and they'll respond, 7th Grade? |
🤔 okay, apparently they are not "the same thing" |
Is this real??? |
| So Arlington sent out agegroup scrimmage assignments tonight and at least from the second team down, they are going by birthdate and the Aug/sept kids will play a grade down. Wondering if there were exceptions made for ECNL players or if everyone was assigned strictly by birthdate at this point? |
Wont last long. Young Aug players that want to be recruited for college will need to play on the team with players their grade. If you're not on a top team and looking to get recruited to play in college clubs would probabaly want players to play down for wins. Which is not in the players best interest. Parents need to get educated and understand what playing down a grade really means. Specifically when your kid is a grade up in school. Playing down in HS works because your grade level is the same as the level you play in soccer. Club soccer is different Aug birthdays would stick out like a sore thumb and not be considered serious candidates by college recruiters. |
Hogwash. Dominating is how you get noticed for the next level. Baseball A guys go to Asia for a season, play great and then come back and sign for millions and a bunch of years. The fact is being a star works. Teams are mandating kids play in their correct age bracket because they know how this works and have experience doing this unlike a random unknown poster that is guessing about the future. |
