Democrats cannot ALWAYS be the ones compromising. That is not bipartisanship. The freedom caucus is not representing even a majority minority of the population. Furthermore, D ALREADY compromised in summer to avoid this and Rs just reneged.

they did that already, with the whole debt ceiling negotiations. republicans went back on that deal immediately, so there is no reason to have any faith in them not moving the football again.

dems need to just stop negotiating with terrorists. republicans know what they agreed to, they just need to do the work of putting it in a bill and bringing it to the floor for a vote.

instead we get this sideshow impeachment circus and handwaving about the border which absolutely no one actually cares about except maybe agricultural and manufacturing plant employers since they can't actually find enough people to do backbreaking labor for peanuts anymore, whoops. and then you wonder why your food and goods prices keep skyrocketing, while millions of gov workers and contractors go without paychecks.

Pretty certain that the mayor of NYC cares about the border, as do other communities where the TX governor is sending migrants.

Talk to McCarthy about that - he won't negotiate so he doesn't lose his job. He's willing to shutdown the government to protect himself.

One again, the reason we are shutting down is because Rs cannot agree among themselves what to put in the spending bills. This has gone on for months, and they are still no closer to agreement. “The border” only became a talking point 36 hours ago because McCarthy is flailing and trying to cast blame on anyone else after others in his own party, including the Senate Majority Leader, declared that this mess is his fault.

Relax. I’m sure there won’t be a shutdown beyond maybe a short one over the weekend. So much drama over nothing.

If it’s nothing, why are you in this thread trolling so much?

Right, you're totally on the ground and in the know, and you also prioritize posting that knowledge on DCUM. That tracks.
