Well honestly that’s where the legal challenges are going to come in. No way of telling how this will turn out this school year, but my suspicion is FCPS and other districts will try to “run out the clock” on this school year with mandatory masks. |
+1, it’s a waiting (stall) game at this point. |
They are if the kids who are compromised wear masks. This is the issue…isn’t it. If your child is disabled through compromise, then mask up. Double. Triple. I am very sympathetic to that. The argument, though sympathetic, is nonsensical and a straw man. Nobody gets bullied for wearing a mask, BUT the opposite is clearly true. |
That part. |
Anyone want to provide some clarification on the email Brabrand just sent out. “We are aware of internal communications about our mask regulation being shared out of context”.
What does that mean? Can anyone provide the back story? Brabrand is such a crappy communicator. And he never found a fire that he didn’t pour gasoline on. |
That’s not important Make sure your kid is mask up on Tuesday |
I was just coming on here to ask the same. What’s up with FCPS’s latest word salad? |
Lol It’s part of the dress code the letter said. face veils now a religious requirement in Fcps (since the ineffective cloth masks are accepted), but at least it’s gender neutral |
Ah I see. “Don’t question your betters, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” |
It is a flat lie about the dress code. Pretty sure we will hear more lies from FSPC before Tuesday.
Dress Code FCPS respects students’ right to express themselves in the way they dress. It is important, however, that their appearance is tasteful and appropriate for a K-12 school setting. Discussion about dress code violations shall be held privately and maintain the dignity of the student. Clothing and accessories should not: Display vulgar, discriminatory, or obscene language or images Promote illegal or violent conduct Contain threats or gang symbols Promote the unlawful use of weapons, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or drug paraphernalia Expose private parts or show an excessive amount of bare skin (see-through clothing) Contain studs or chain belts Include hats or other head coverings unless worn for significant religious, cultural, or medical purpose School administration may reach out to a student’s family if clarification is needed regarding the purpose of a head covering. |
My kid is always masked. And will remain so whether it’s voluntary or mandatory. Largely because she doesn’t want two weeks of isolation during 2nd semester senior year. Who are you to decide that I am not worthy of learning about info Brabrand referred to in a blast to 200,000 email addresses. If you want people to talk, the best way to make it happen is say: something big and secret happened but I’m not saying what. |
I don’t know what the rules are for FSPC. Here’s the FCPS Reg. https://go.boarddocs.com/vsba/fairfax/Board.nsf/files/C63G2V41BE7D/$file/R2109.pdf At the bottom, it incorporates the FCPS dress code reg by reference. |

Lady, if what you say is real and you’re not just some R trying to trick people here, then I’m sorry but you win the stupidity award for that utterly stupid vote. |
Evening clown. Keep up this kind of rhetoric. Non-partisans will continue running from you in droves. As to the award…you have the Noble. I am sure the other side continues to welcome your rhetoric. Barnum and Bailey will be here in the spring in case you need a job. |
