Your parents should be ashamed of the adults they raised.

That is what the Taliban says to the western world, “stop treading on me just because I want to impose extremist rules.”

Sound familiar Mrs/mr I am tolerant conservative.

+1 what's so tolerant about conservatives who impose their beliefs on everyone, don't care about protecting public health, and think anyone should carry a gun without a permit.

You forcing a 12 yr old to have her rapist's baby is disgusting and hateful.

Yes, people like you are like the Taliban. My parents are pro-abortion. You know how I know? My mother got an abortion after getting pregnant with her 5th child when she was close to 50, and they couldn't afford to take care of another child. They were lower income. Conservatives certainly don't believe in social welfare, even though that is actually the Christian thing to do, and they certainly don't believe in free access to birth control.

The only thing they believe in is forced births and punishing women for having sex or being raped.

This isn't about "opinion"

How many foster care children have you taken in?

NO they can not. If they do some moron can literally kill them with zero consequences.

Anyone sending a boy or a girl to any red state moving forward is an idiot. This is not going to end well. Some family will lose a child to vigilante justice. UGH

Wow. Such hate from the tolerant left.

Ironic statement, given the actions of the right.

But aren't we supposed to be better than them? Very disappointing....

No. That's a loser's game. We have to fight. Stop wringing your hands and do something.

+1 This is the difference between being nice and being kind. When there is injustice--when bounties are put on women who seek abortions--then we have to not be "nice" but fight and be kind in that we actually care for their well-being. You can be as intolerant as you want against oppression and still be kind.

Is there a link regarding the bounty hunters and vigilantes?

Bottom line.

Any red state is not a good place for any male or female to attend school.

What do you people not understand about vigilantism?

This law is bad, very very bad. Not only from the abortion perspective. Our constitutional rights are in question.

As for abortion, conservatives are full of BS. They are not pro-life. Given they think a $10,000 Bounty on women or helping women is a reasonable thing to do!

So tired of the Holier than thou additude. Can't wear a simple mask, or would rather take horse or cow dewormers than an actual vaccine , because of "freedoms"

These morons ie conservatives, Trumpers, Q whatever are destroying all of our "freedoms" it's only going to get worse for women.

Idiots they should all leave the US. Clearly, they do not understand Democracy and our "freedoms". Control freaks and crazies.

Wife and I are both Texas A&M grads and would have no problem sending either of our daughters there.

But, then again, we're both pro-life and want to see Roe v. Wade overturned.
Anonymous
They don't need to leave because we are a free country but if they think they are going to trample on reproductive rights of our daughters and sons without a relentless and sustained fight they are very wrong.

FRom NYTimes:

Doesn’t Roe v. Wade guarantee a woman’s right to abortion? Can the Texas law be challenged on constitutional grounds?

The Texas law bars state officials from actually enforcing it, a design intended to make it difficult to challenge in the courts.
Usually a lawsuit aiming to block such a law as unconstitutional names state officials as defendants. Instead, the Texas law deputizes private citizens to sue anyone who performs an abortion or “aids and abets” a procedure. Plaintiffs who have no connection to the patient or the clinic may sue and recover legal fees, as well as $10,000 if they win.

Ok me or ms pro life. Look around today and know that many of the women you come across everyday..moms, teachers, docs, bus drivers, nurses, bankers, chefs, deliver drives, aunts, sisters, daughters and on and on and on and on and on just as good as murderers to you. They don't need your unwelcome, uncalled for, unhelpful, out of line intrusion into their complex lives any more than you need theirs into yours.

Stay out of the reproductive lives of my kids and everyone else. You do you and leave the rest is us in peace

they don't care. The calculus is simple- the corporations want favorable tax/employment/environmental (especially the energy companies) laws and regulations, so they support republicans. For republicans to get elected, they need the christian base so you get politicians who oppose abortion, but also oppose taxes and unions. That's a win for business

Make them care. They can't function without customers. I don't have to give mo ey to exxon if I can help it.

who are you shifting purchases too that doesn't have offices in Texas?

It's going to be really difficult to avoid oil & gas purchases that aren't Houston based.

Focus on IT & air - Dell, Tesla, Southwest, American Airlines, AT&T

Great. I'm going to fly one-way down to Texas on AA to buy a dell computer. While down there, I'll rent a tesla. Then fly back Southwest. All while traveling with my AT&T cell phone. Thanks for letting me know!

Seriously--are you in favor of deputizing private citizens to sue people they think got an abortion, drove someone to get an abortion, etc.??? Citizens who are free to carry guns without permits or training???? Do you not see how women are going to be seriously harassed here? On what grounds do you think this is a good idea?

I think you need to correct your thinking from being pro life to being pro birth. Anybody that is truly for life, would not jeopardize the life of women who may be having a dangerous pregnancy. Or support a state that allows people to open carry guns. You do realize, guns kill people right? Anyway you are pro birth, not pro life.

This is Karen culture. A deputized bunch of busy bodies that can't stay in their lane.
